Me and my girl friend are going to vegas in Dec, I would like to get a VIP package for one of the clubs. I was wondering if it is worth it to buy the package ahead of time or wait till we get there to pick them up. Also witch clubs offer the best deals? We'll be there from the 6th thru the 10th.

I wouldn't waste money on those "VIP" packages. For Friday or Saturday, you can buy presale tickets which you just print out. You'll skip the 1-2+ hour GA line. The longest I've waited with the presales was less than 10 minutes but usually only a minute or two.

DON"T get the BS VIP package.
What club are you thinking about?
I'd recommend going to the club as soon as it opens when the lines are shorter. Get a stamp for re-entry. Go to a casino bar, "play" VP to get free drinks, then go back in when it's poppin.

Check out some of the Groupon deals, we have done the "Vegas Crawls" on our last two trips and will never do the bottle service or VIP again. The crawls are tons more fun and lots cheaper.

We had a friend suggest Surrender, my girlfriend wants to dance more than drink so any advice would be greatly appreciated.

A lot depends on night of the week, but its hard to go wrong if you select any of the usuals. 1-OAK, HAZE, CHATEUA, PURE, LAX, pretty much all of the mega resorts have a Nightclub, ask your concierge for a recommendation depending on the day of the week, and what is going on that particular night.

If you go to vegas.com they give some decent descriptions of the different clubs.

Surrender has a very small dance floor and most of the club is actually outdoors which they sometimes close off due to cold weather. XS has a decent size dance floor. Marquee's dance floor is ok but very fun atmosphere (go early and actually get onto the dance floor if you're going when there's a headliner spinning because they almost always close it off).

Presales for Surrender/XS are sold at want tickets and Marquee sells their own via their website. I forgot to mention, with presales, you don't have to rush to get there early (9-10 like GA people do). We usually get there around midnight so we don't have to wait hours for the headliner to come on.

Contrary to that, the presale tickets are general admission passes, places like Marquee and XS sell different levels of presale ranging form a couple dollars to hundreds ( i'm sure you can figure out the increased cost of a presale means preferential treatment) I had friends who just recently came to Vegas, bought presales to see Aviccii at Marquee (they paid $200 apiece) and were still told to wait in the ticket holders line ( which was longer than the GA), the tickets merely guaranteed that they would be let in, not how quickly they would be.

That's unfortunate. I was just stating my experience and I club in Vegas at least once a month for the past 23 months and have never had that happened to me. I've seen most of the bigger headliners (Tiesto, Kaskade, Calvin Harris, etc) at XS/Marquee. XS is more organized and they do have a separate line for presales. I've never seen them hold the line so by the time I get there around midnight, I just walk straight in.

For marquee, I've had to stand in the same line as GA but it was only for about five minutes and then they just called everyone with presales to the front to get our stamps. This happened twice. Another time, I went up the escalators to the fourth floor where the pool was and entered that way (minimal line).

From my experience, I always recommend presales or handshake a host (not a promoter; they are different) because that is what works for me.

    Thanks for the help

Thanks for all the help folks, we talked about it and decided to go to LAX cause we are staying at the Luxor. We figured if we end up drinking a bit to much we can just stumble back up to the room instead of having to take a cab.
