Is it worth the $85. if I don't like champagne and caviar?

    Probably not.

Main draw for most folks is unlimited Champagne and several seafood choices. Big hits are lobster tails, sushi, caviar and a few other 'rare on a buffet' offerings. I eat like a toddler, so unless I drink Champagne (which I do, thank goodness), it would be way overpriced.

    Happy munching!

The food is really good. I won't eat caviar either but it's a really small portion of the buffet. But without the champagne, I don't know. They will keep your glassed full with OJ and water but I don't if there is an alternative to the champagne outside of soft drinks. I would have probably eaten a ton more if we didn't get so blitzed so I don't know if I sampled enough food to make an honest judgement.

The price is all relative. If you use TR credits, it will get the price down. You have to look at it as a "bucket list" thing to do. I've been three times and never drink champagne. Of course, I always use credits to pay for mine, so the tip is all I spend out of pocket. The food is sometimes inconsistent. But, the selections are so superior to other buffets, it never really dissappoints. The lamb is one of my favorite offerings. Lobster is always a big hit. Desserts are worth planning for and always change for the better. Plan on spending a couple of hours and pace yourself.

I think if you are not into the champagne, as that is a large part of the cost. What they serve would cost $30-40 a bottle in a good liquor store, but they pour it like water for you.

The Brunch is also good for people who want something a bit different than the normal gigantic labyrinth buffets that seat hundreds of people, and if you want to sample a lot of high-end food without going to several restaurants several times.

I wouldn't go to Sterling often, but I'm very glad I went once.

I've always heard great things about it so I checked it out on my last trip to LV. Definitely worth trying at least once. The price is steep, but it is one heck of an experience.

    Another thought

My husband and I are going again in Dec and we're bantering about the possibility of choosing the brunch buffet at Caesar's Palace over the Bally's Sterling Brunch. Has gotten pretty good reviews and is markedly less expensive and has a greater selection (of less chic items, of course) so I guess weigh the two, then report back?

    Good luck - lauren

We went to the Sterling Brunch the end of last month and they had made a few changes. If you don't care for champagne they have a bloody mary bar. They've added a cupcake station for deserts and a creme brulee station. We go there because we enjoy the service, the atmosphere, and the food is top notch; however, the food choices are limited. What we enjoyed about this last trip was that we got there and a table wasn't available right away so they have nice comfortable couches in the bloody mary bar and the matre de sat us there and got us bloody marys while we waited. You won't find that at the other high end buffets for just us regular guests.

Very rarely seen a discount. There was a groupon recently, that is the only one I can recall.

Nope. There were some larger parties there who did seem as if they decided to wear their Sunday best just as if they were meeting up for brunch after church. It can be a special event brunch if you want it to be. I felt the need to wear makeup which I don't always do before dinner but I was comfortable with jeans even though I passed on the tennis shoes.
