I stayed at IP last night for the first (and last) time. Just want to let everyone know that the construction is 24/7 and will keep you awake. I never imagined it could be that bad. I knew the hotel would be a dump, but sledgehammers at 3am was unexpected. I was on the 6th floor in tower 3. Just a word of caution to my VMB chums.

Yikes! I didn't hear about 3am, but I heard about 7am jackhammers. Maybe they weren't in at 3am. :) It is kind of a mess in there. It already isn't one of my favorite properties to begin with. I would avoid it until they at least have things underway and under control.

Just back from Vegas and walking by, the incessant jackhammering would drive me crazy day or night.

Really weird because they are regulated as to what hours they can actually work. I thought it was 6 am or 7 am before they could start with anything that involved noise.

Had a coworker just get back from IP, stays there regularly, and so do I, says he won't go stay there again till it's done.

Could it be any louder than that band that played till 4am every night between IP and Harrahs?

I've been seeing rates as low at $15 a night there, and as a value-incentive traveler, I've still passed on staying at IP. I've heard that taxis and shuttles won't even drop people there now, and parking is next to impossible.

Sam- I took a shuttle there and back, but they didn't pick up at the shuttle stop that was designated by the hotel signage, but some alternate spot. I only found the spot by being in the wrong spot and chasing down the bus.

It has been said you can't polish a turd, but I guess we will all see if that is true or not when the IP renovation is done. Place is truly a turd.

I said back in June when we stayed at Bally's we woke up to it in the morning, loud and clear. I could look out our window right at them but at night it was only dropping cement chunks into the steel bins.

Probably an old question, but is the classic car collection still there?

I used to like gambling there as the cocktail waitresses were some of the most scantily clad on the strip. Probably wont go back till the construction is over.

    Hi Everyone.
I'm going to be staying at Harrah's in about 3 weeks. I believe I already suspect the answer, but I'd be interested in any comments from people who've stayed at Harrah's recently, with respect to the noise and the time it begins.

    Thank you.

I stayed at Harrah's last weekend and never heard or felt anything.

    ip?

i stayed in ip. up to oct. 4 in tower 1 overlooking construction site -they started at 5am every morning except sunday when they started at 8 it was the reversing beepers that made the most noise. i did not find the construction to be too much of a bother. it might be the budwieser and vodka
    that made us sleep.:wink2::beer::beer:

i also had breakfast at the buffet and enjoyed it my only complaint would be lack of choice (small selection) the quality was quite good.

I am booked for three nights in late march at $25/night, I consider this reservation to be a place holder only, and am waiting for another deal to come along.

I am always entertained by the progression of the renditions, as the become less fancy as the budget erodes.

The shuttle driver told me they are putting in the same type wheel either next to M Bay or across the street, I forget which he said.
