About what month do the swimming pools open up to the guests for swimming. The reason I ask is because I know it gets cold in LV in the winter and I really don't want to visit until I can go swimming. Thanks.

Is this just for swimming, or for tanning / partying, etc too?

I ask because some casinos have heated pools they keep open all winter if you just want to swim.

But if you want nicer pool weather, you're probably looking late March through October.

It's been my experience (but no guarantee) that MGM and Caesars have at least one warm-water pool open year-round, and I'd guess Bellagio does too. You should fix on a date range and contact prospective hotels for definite answer.

I recall swimming at MGM early March when the lifeguard was wearing a ski jacket. I found that 60 degrees (air temp) was about my limit for the polar bear stuff, if there was no breeze. There's nothing like swimming on a cool day and then heading for the steam room.

well the traditional pool season is Memorial Day to Labor Day. but i'd say you can find nice pool weather from early to mid-May to mid to late-September.

MBay keeps one open year round, and I was there when they were getting the Beach ready to be opened but I can't remember when that was - late April, early May?

The last 2 visits I made was during the first week of March. Excalibur had the pool open (that was in 2005) and last year Golden Nugget had their pool open but Flamingo did not. Both times I felt it was warm enough to swim.
