So I am torn here - just saw a good deal on Mirage 1250 sqft Suite for $1400 with taxes (Jan 28-Feb 2)

I was looking at the Cosmo Wrap Terr Fountain (must call for strip view) - probably almost double the cost of the Mirage

    Most important to me:

    1. View/Nice room
    2. Blackjack & High Limit Sluts
    3. Food & Hotel Vibe
    4. Nightlife (I'm 40 :)) PEOPLE WATCHING !

    Q's...

So is the Cosmo worth that much more?

Is the View all that different? I imagine I would need to do the $20 trick at both hotels regardless to get a great STRIP view which IS important to me.

I am worried about Cosmo comments...drunken people bumping into players, rich kids, etc. Def want a nice crowd to mingle with without the hassles.

Should I just reserve/hold the Mirage Suite (possible?) thru them direct until I decide??

Thanks in advance for any input - you guys are great here!

Based on your criteria, it sounds like Cosmo will be worht it. Much better view in a much better room. And while Cosmo is filled with a young crowd at night (and probably some high limit sluts too :poke: ) it is great for people watching. It gets noisy at night, but if great views of the Strip and people watching are two of your main priorities, go with Cosmo. The food is at least comparable and probably better than Mirage as well

I'd say Cosmo too. You just can't beat those fountain views.

And I got hit on by a high limit slut in the elevator there. :ssst:

Cosmo will indeed have all manner of high-limit sluts, that's for sure. Excalibur has much lower-limit sluts, from what I've seen.

More seriously, while I think the Cosmo hotel/resort is better for you, the casino there leaves a lot to be desired, both in terms of the action going on, and their generosity with comps. If you don't care much about that, then by all means go with the Cosmo; I really like the restaurants and bars there, and the hotel rooms look amazing, but I personally can't bring myself to stay there instead of an MGM joint when I know I'll get absolutely nothing for my play.

    sorry I meant slots:Þ

So I just call Cosmo and ask specifically for Wrap around Strip view room?
I don't want to pay that much and end up in the Tower away from the strip you know.

But high limit sluts are so much more entertaining!

it's called a premium view. you may be able to book it on the website or you may have to call to get it guaranteed.

I stayed at Cosmo last weekend. I tried to play in high limit slots, but the employees in there kept staring at me and when I asked them to stop, they said "but I work here." Very unprofessional environment in that high limit room. I went back two more times and tried to play, but each time I was stared at and bombarded by the staff in there. They insisted on watching, and I won't dump a cent at $50 a spin with someone breathing down my neck. Did not see anyone playing in there and did not see one jackpot go off in Cosmo all weekend. I will never play there again. I don't play tables, so I cannot comment on that.

Make sure you get a higher floor. I had a fountain view but the freaking Bellagio sign blocked half of it. They refused to give me to a higher floor. I'm sticking with MGM properties fron now on.

Well I actually couldn't resist the urge to reserve the Penthouse Suite at the Mirage!

Got it for 1800 smackers plus tax and fees

I hope I didn't make a mistake by not booking Cosmo!!

I was booked for a higher floor, premium view.

I've never stayed at Mirage, but I enjoyed my penthouse suite at NYNY more than the Cosmo room.

    Good luck and enjoy!
