So, this relates to the total bankroll question, but I figured I'd start a new thread in lieu of threadjacking the other one.

Let's say you get to a table, and you start with a total bankroll of $500, and you get absolutely shellacked, and you hit your loss limit. When you pack it up, and move to a new table, do you start with a total bankroll of $500, or do you start with your depleted bankroll?

BTW, two and half weeks until I hit Vegas!

Depends on the game. With craps, I play progressive betting with my initial buy in. If I go through that buy in, I start over again at my lowest level with my next buy in. With baccarat and BJ, if I run through my initial buy in, I start over with a bigger buy in and a higher base bet. With roulette, when I lose my initial buy in, I ask myself "why are you playing roulette" and then run back to my room and hide

It really depends on my budget and the day.

Generally I don't switch tables anyway, as I'm not very superstitious. I also don't play for hours on end (except poker).

So many days, if I get felted at one table, that's my blackjack for the day. If I get beat down but still have something left, usually by the time I walk I'm done for the day anyway.

If I'm low rolling for the day, and planning to do a few more sessions/look around, I might have 2-4 buy-ins in my daily budget, and each property I buy in at I do it with a regular starting stack.

A lot depends on the total daily budget and if early morning or late at night on whether or not I simply continue with the left over cash or replenish to start fresh.
No simple black/white type of rules when budgeting or buying in at a table.

I tend to pick up what I have left and hit a new casino (when in vegas) I don't buy in for my whole daily budget just 1/3 of it. If I lose it all I will go to the new casino and start over. I feel I do better in Vegas because I can go to a different casino. Other than stuck at the one Indian casino with no where else to go.

I always try to leave the table ahead. Most of the time I do. Only very few times have I played blackjack and not get ahead. Do that 3-4 times a day and you just paid for this trip and the next one. When I lose, I lose it all. Good thing it's not that much to start with.

If I lose like that i dont go to another table. i will take a break and lick my wounds for a while to let the bad run of luck work itself out.
