I was booked in a Luxery room for three nights at $42.00 per night and then I noticed that the Premium room was $45.50 per night so I wanted
to upgrade but the Reservation clerk gave me a hard time so I cancelled
my reservation. His name was "Peggy"...lol. Just kidding.

He asked me why I cancelled and I told him because my friends don't like
Harrahs and I have never stayed there so I prefer to change to a different
hotel or not go to Vegas at all during that week.

I am tired of staying at Ballys because it is a very long walk to the main street. The hotel reservation front desk staff are not friendly either.
I just dislike all the walking to get out of the hotel.

I don't like PH because they have very loud music everywhere. My room was
not memorable last time I stayed there.

My other choice is the Flamingo and I know that it may be dusty outside
because of the contruction work being done at the IP.

I guess I have to look at other choices too. I will do a search. Lucy

What about Bills? Small, easy access to street, Victorian cafe is good.

You will probably have less dust at Flamingo than you would at Harrahs - and you can still access Paris, PH & Ballys easily from there. Most of the construction would all start at the north end. Ask for a room that is quiet and not facing construction.

Don't let one employee sour your taste for Harrahs - if you want to stay there, just book online now (it will allow you to choose any handicap rooms now also) or call back. You will get someone different.

Check Bills as indicated - you will be from your room to the strip in minutes - but player rates do not transfer from CET props to Bills.

Thank you all for your fast advise

I am thinking of booking Caesars Palace for $79.00 per night. I have never stayed there so this is my chance to stay there.
It's affordable for single me.lol. Lucy

Lucy, for $79 at Caesars, you will probably be in their oldest, least attractive room. It may be on the level of Bally's south tower but at a higher rate.

We went inside Flamingo three days in August and do not remember it being dusty.

Bill's is only $29 a night for your dates. Or Flamingo GO room for $55. I personally love Bill's. It was the second place I ever stayed in Vegas, and I would happily stay there again if I was going to stay on the strip.

If you dont like the walk from Ballys to the strip, you are going to despise the walk from Caesars, especially if you are staying in an older tower.

If walking is an issue, Paris is my suggestion. The check in is close to Valet driveway, and the elevators are close to the check-in. It should be a fair price, if you can get $79 for Caesars. I had my room *Entilted* because I spend 1K~1.5K a day at CET. My only issue was with the cobblestones in the walkway between Bally's and Paris.

    Curious

What level of room at CP is 79.00? I find Harrahs luxury room & Ballys north tower to be nicer than even a CP Forum Tower room. (don't even bother with a Roman Tower room)
Honestly, I have found virtually NO difference between a Harrahs Luxury & Harrahs Premium room, so I wouldn't be bothered by that. Can't you rebook online?
I think Harrahs & Ballys north tower are nicer than Flamingo, unless it is a GO room, then they are fairly similar.

Thank you all for the extra advise

The Caesars room is the Roman Tower. Since it is a long walk to the street
I will not book that hotel.

My second choice is Bill's because it is located close to the main street.
They also have a great restaurant and a karaoke place at night time.
I like old Victorian places with the old furniture. I plan to book one of their
better rooms. I don't mind the noise from the main streets. I go to bed
at 2a.m. and I wake up at 6a.m. in Vegas. I do take afternoon naps.
I have a lot of fun in Vegas shopping and eating at buffets. I always buy
the Buffet special deal. I also love taking the bus and meeting lots of people
    from other countries and U.S.A.

If it is cold and windy weather in Vegas.... I plan to hang out at Caesars,
Palazzo, Venetian, hotels. I like exploring the hotel stores and being a looky loo and buy what catches my fancy.lol. Lucy

Sounds like Bill's is a good choice for you, Lucy. The money you'd save over the room at Caesars will pay for your buffet pass!

    Glad you decided against Caesars

Honestly, $79 for the Roman Tower is a rip off...

Hardly...CET have announced an 'intention' to renovate Bills but they haven't raised the money to do so let alone received approval to do so.

Booking Bills any time in the next 6 - 12 months should not be a problem.

Why not try the Mirage for $65 night.close to the Strip and renovated rooms in the last couple years.
MGm is in the same range and they are brand new rooms.

$65 at the Mirage is for the standard room. A strip deluxe room is $95 a night. And then add another $25 + tax per night for resort fee.

I booked the Bill's Gamblin Hall hotel

Hi Candy, I read the reviews about Bill's. Lots of people complained about
the rooms getting too noisy if located near the streets. But, I booked a Luxery King room for a total of $164.46 with tax included for the total 3 nights.
I have been wanting to stay there for a long time and see for myself if I
like the hotel or not. I really like the location of the hotel for me.
I plan to write a review/report of the hotel here. Lucy

I would think that the Luxury rooms would be the noisiest of all. Only difference between the room types is location, and the Lux ones would be closest to the corner. I stayed in one of those on my second visit to Vegas and loved it. It was very noisy however, with the Bellagio fountains booming, people screaming, and traffic.

    Sam's Gamblin Hotel

Hi Tatterdema, I don't think I will mind the noise since I love looking out of
the window to see the people on the streets. I have a lot of fun watching
    the people.
The noise from the dancing waters doesn't bother me either. I am used to
hearing that noise when I stay at hotels near it. Plus, I get to see it from
my window. I am a real Looky Loo gal. I go to Vegas to get the whole experience. Lucy
