I believe I remember seeing bottles of alcohol in the gift shops or little stores in the casinos. I don't remember them being to out of line with prices. I also have seen that you can purchase bottles threw room service at f-in crazy prices. So why would anyone order a bottle threw room service and not just go to the little store? :drunk:

    I can see it:

It depends on where your hotel room is in relation to the elevators and then where the elevators are in relation to the gift shop for how convenient it is.

Depends on the hotel but with room service ordering it usually comes with mixers if appropriate for the alcohol you are ordering.

If charged to your room you might be able to get it comped off your bill at the end of your stay.

Again, it depends on the hotel but the room service menu usually seems larger and has more higher end stuff available.

I don't order alcohol through room service very often, maybe once every second trip, but when I have it was really a convenience thing where we were busy in the room or just relaxing or not wanting to go down to the casino just yet.

Cause some people are rich and lazy! Last week I looked at getting some beer delivered to my room and it was $6 a beer so $72 for a 12 pack. I sent my brother down to an ABC store and he came back with a $15 12 pack.

For the longest time I've watched a never-ending line of people venturing from the Hard Rock across Paradise to the CVS and returning with booze, etc. Finally the HRH, lowered the prices on a lot of the stuff that CVS would compete on... don't get me wrong, you're still pay a bit of a premium, but nothing like it was before, plus you get 10X points for any $$ spent there, so I might pay $3 more for a bottle of Jack Daniels to put in the room, but get 280 points to go along with it. I've noticed a lot more people in their Fuel stores now, as opposed to before. Room service bottles remain god awful in pricing!

one trip i had my host put a bottle of goose and 12 coronas in the room. they charged my comps like $500 for that! i've never made that mistake again. last trip i got a couple of bottles of scotch from the Beau (where they don't charge your comps to put it in your room) and brought them in my suitcase to Vegas.

Perhaps you made a new friend and returned to your room to show her your artwork, but thought a drink might be in order.
