Last two times I stayed at MC it was in a Monaco Suite. Both were right by the elevator so I heard a lot of hallway noise. Does anyone know if all Monaco suites are right off the elevators? Anyone ever get upgraded from a Monaco Suite to a Spa or Diamond suite? Thanks.

There is a website called Room777...it shows the room set up of MC. Not sure if they smoking y/n is correct. According to their layout, Diamond, Monaco and Spa Suites are ALL the first rooms of every hall coming from the elevator. I have a Diamond booked for December, hoping the noise isn't too bad.

My friend said his Spa suite wasn't noisy he was there last month. Tammy let us know how your Diamond Suite is. I stay in Hotel32 but my buddy reserved a Diamond for New Years.

I am assuming of the 6 rooms closest to the beginning of the hallways only 2 of those 6 will directly "touch" the elevator shaft. Guessing those 2 may be the worst. Also assuming that the diamond shouldn't be too bad unless someone in the hall is very noisy. The benefit of a 2 room suite is that your bedroom doesn't have a direct hallway door, so keeps the noise out a little more. Not going blackjacknut until Dec 16. Hope to have my TR up before you go for New Years.

I stayed in a spa suite and didn't hear a thing. Think you should be fine, enjoy your suite.

Oops sorry, it is only two 7's ...room77.com. I wish it gave the layout for more hotels then it does. Monte Carlo and MGM room types are there. The CET props I have checked have not been. I find it fun and useful to use. :)

We are staying in a spa suite @ MC in January. I hope we don't have the noise problem. For anyone who has stayed in the spa suite @ MC, were you happy with it? We stayed in the Marquee Suite at NYNY last year. It was ok. NYNY needs a lot of revamping/updating in my opinion.

The Spa suite is my favorite of the MC suites. I wouldn't call it up to date, but it's big and the view from our tub was superb.

    Noise

To clarify the noise was not the elevator but loud people in the hallway by the elavator carrying on a very long loud conversation. Generally I prefer being at the end of the hallway. Longer walk but less foot traffic.
