I posted previously that I started working in a new casino here in Ohio and I have to tell you, some of the observations I have made are crazy. First people are not afraid to get into fights, last weekend we had no fewer than 20 and they were all stupid stuff.

People think money can buy everything, had someone offer me $50 to over look his invalid ID, not happening, some people think they dont have to show an ID when asked, they dont get to stay long.

I did see 2 homeless guys come in, put a $5 into a machine, first pull and one $10k, that was odd.

Even though we have only been open going on 2 weeks, I am afraid that the Vegas casinos will not be my choice for vacation. I dont get amazed when I see the machines anymore, or the cocktail waitress or the tables. I think the outdoor live in Vegas would be nice but dont think the casinos will be as relaxing as they use to be. I enjoy my job, you never know what is going to happen when but it can lead to casino burn out.

If your one of the few following me on Twitter, you will see some of my obervations, I do a tweet or 2 a day called #casino_observations and I write somethings i seem, things that amaze me or just general obersvations.

I am changing to third shift tonight, should be interesting.

I would imagine your going through the same thing as those who try and make a living off of BlackJack or Poker experience. It was fun to do until your well being depends on it.

I am the total opposite. I had never played slots until I started working at a casino. Watching someone win 10k on a $2 bet is exciting and only makes me want to go play myself. I guess I don't work on the floor though. More behind the scenes in the IT department.

Has it been crazy busy still? I was there last weekend (first weekend it was open) and the place was shoulder to shoulder everywhere, which was fine because I just wanted to check it out and didn't care to play much. I love the bar! I honestly would go there on a Saturday afternoon just to watch the Bucks even if I couldn't gamble, it's that nice. I hope you have been enjoying your job thus far

    Just a question.

Is there a giant locker room in the back somewhere to change into your work uniform with lockers and stuff? i always assumed there would be.

Are all the restaraunt kitchens connected so no matter which one you eat at its really the same stuff cooked by the same guys and they deliver it out of different doors or do they all have their own kitchens and cooks?

Weekends are expected to be very busy, the week it's been steady but plenty of room to move and play
