Thinking of going to see Andrew Dice clay at the Riviera 10.30 pm showtime

I really really hate paying for a cab
Is it allright to walk back towards mid strip at that time?
I could wait for the bus but if its not safe to walk guess it isnt any safer to wait for the bus

I could always take a cab to palazzo/Ti and walk the rest if board members tell me its not safe

If the walk is ok with you, no problems...it will be a bit more deserted than mid strip, but actually we preferred it as there were limited "characters" along that route.

It's a better walk south (to Palazzo) than north... though I don't think either is "dangerous" by any stretch. Las Vegas Blvd is heavily traveled with vehicles still at that time and it's not like there's roving gangs. You will undoubtably encounter a "ner do well" or 2, but it's kinda more about your "urban" comfort level, than them. Some people get freaked out when they have to walk anywhere near a homeless "type".

Done that walk many a time late in the evening all always felt perfectly safe.

I think a solo female might have to be a little more on guard for the perception of weakness (not that girls are weaker....they're just seen as an easier "mark" by bad guys). That might need to be taken into account. I certainly wouldn't walk around that neighborhood unescorted late at night, and I consider myself pretty urban savvy.

There are lots of people, not to mention Metropolitan Police on patrol both in cars and on bikes and the ubiquitous hotel security in and outside everywhere. About the sketchiest people you will see are the porn pettlers. I wouldn't worry but be aware of your surroudings as you would be anywhere.

Heading south I wouldn't worry at all. Going north, however, I wouldn't walk alone...
