7:14 I thought everything was going to fall off my shelves here in the computer room. Read that it was centered in southern Maine. We don't get quakes you can feel around here...well, not often anyways.

    Earthquake

Yes, we felt the house shake. As rare as earthquakes are in Wilmington MA, we all agreed that that was what it was at the time, well before the news officially hit the newswires. At 4.6 magnitude, it was clearly the strongest quake I have ever felt in 60+ years.

I was on the Andover/Wilmington border when it happened. Strongest quake I've ever felt.

I didn't feel it in SE MA. I did feel the Washington quake last year as I was standing right by the Cape Cod Canal

WOW what a coincidence, we had a 3.2 in Oklahoma about 11:30 last night.

Yep, felt it southern NH. I asked DH "what the hell was that?" and he said just probably a jet. I told him I have felt many jets and that was no jet! Then my sis called and asked if I felt it and I immediately realized it had been an earthquake. I guess now I know what a little earthquake feels like. I have no desire to feel a big one!

    Definitely!
I'm in MA for work and was sitting on the couch in my sister's apartment (in Cambridge).
Felt a little tremor at first and then the whole apartment house shook for about 4-6 seconds.
Sis's cats weren't too fond of that, I'll tell you. :confused2:

I called the other half to tell him I was pretty sure I brought an earthquake with me from California.

Felt it in Hartford, CT. Heard the walls creeking, had a second to think what the he'll, then the coach was rocking back and forth. Strongest one I've ever felt.

My mum felt it on the cape in Dennis.

    Very strange feeling.

Next time, please leave the tremors at home. I like my ground to stay right where it is. ;)

I left central NH to drive to Marden's in Sanford Maine. After shopping I stopped at McDonald's to check my email and was parked in the parking lot in my car online. All of a sudden it felt like someone jumped on my back bumper a couple of times. I looked quickly in my rear view mirror and turned but no one was near, and I noticed a good breeze and assumed that a gust came along and lifted up the back of the car.

I left and stopped at Burger King and the girl at the counter asked,"Did you feel the earthquake?" That's when I realized that we had a tremor and that was what I felt.
