    My Trip Report

I guess right off I should say it was one hell of a birthday trip. Four females, two moms & two adult daughters who get along like old friends. I surprised them by booking a stretch limo to pick us up at the airport and take us to the Bellagio. I am far from "rich" but this trip was a milestone birthday and I wanted it to be special. Checked in and our rooms were not ready and they didn't have the connecting rooms I had requested over & over for months. They calmed me down by upgrading us to two suites on the 36th floor dead center of the lake view. Whoopee!! is a fair statement. The rooms were gorgeous.
Unpacked had a libation and headed out just to walk around and find lunch. Ended up at Serendipity. Great place. Sat outside and watched the street action. Had that fantastic chocolate drink with the shot of booze in the middle and food was good. Hit Caesar's for a look around and afew slots (won 251.00) it was a good afternoon. The two younger ones were all google eyed at seeing everything and I have to admit there ain't many places like the Vegas strip. Went to the Tournament of Kings at the Excalibur first night (came free with the room) I have to say it would be a one time thing. It was ok but not for a repeat, though I have to say Knight of France was a hottie. By the time we got back to the Bellagio we were all dragging butt. With the time change it had been a long day. Got to catch a couple of the water light shows from our rooms before crashing into those wonderful beds.

Got started early next morning and headed for the Stratosphere to hit the tower & the rides. Two of us were not thrilled with the prospect of the rides. I was not one of those two. I love that stuff. With some cajoling and wimp calling they finally gave in. I laughed so hard I thought I'd wet myself. I have never heard so much Oh S--t, OMG and threats of bodily harm to my person. It was great. We did all three rides and I rewarded them with drinks in the tower bar. Went back downstairs and hit afew more slots (won 175.00). Another good morning.
Took a cab back to the strip and went to Harrahs and Toby Keith's I Love This Bar. All of us being country fans really liked th place. Ordered lunch and then sat at the bar while waiting for the food. Can't smoke at the tables so we had a drink at the bar and played a little video poker. Lady Luck was sure with my daughter. We were sitting and talking and she gave a little gasp. I looked over and her face was worth a million bucks. She'd hit a straight and the $$ numbers just kept on rolling. The barmaid came over, grabbed my camera and took a quick picture and said "Honey, that's not a straight that's a Ace High Royal Straight Flush. The bar bells & whistles went off. She netted $1,118.00. Needless to say lunch & drinks were on her. It was turning out to be a really good day. More later.

I love the look on a face for the very first Royal.

Are you going to make us guess, or tell us what milestone birthday it was.:poke:

    First Royal

    Love the Royal story....

My first Royal was accompanied by a deafening shout of, according to my friend, "BAM, BAM, YYYYAAAATTTTZZZZEEEEE!" at MSS. My friend was laughing so hard because I scared the chiz out of everyone around me. When I asked "How do I get an attendant?", the bartender deadpanned, "I believe everyone knows you need assistance, sir."

He got a nice tip for that one.

    Keep the stories coming!

    I agree

I may have understated my daughter's reaction......after she realized what she really had it was indeed more than a whahoo....more like a primal YAAAAAAA!!!! Followed by Oh S--t and OMG. And as for the milestone birthday, I might as well fess up. It was my 70th and what a great way to celebrate it. My BFF my BH would be proud of me. I felt he was there with me. More to come.

    Day 2 Milestone Birthday Trip

Wish I knew how to put pics in with the report. Never found out how to do that. Anyway, back to day two of our fearsome foursome birthday trip.
After leaving Toby's lucky I love This Bar we wandered on down to just walk the strip and look around. So much to see, so much walking.....We ended up the stopping at the Paris and took the trip up to the top. View was great but this also is a one time thing. Went back to the Bellagio and had a couple of drinks, played some slots. Won afew $$, feeling good I haven't lost any yet. BF & her daughter can't win period and they're getting testy. About 4:00 I surprised them with front row seats at the Blue Man Group show I'd purchased ahead of time. I'd seen the show last July in Orlando and thought it was great. The other three had never been so it was alot of fun. What I didn't know is that my sister had called and had my name put up for my birthday on the electronic messages they run before the show. What a hoot to see my name up in lights. (I knew some day I'd get there). Being in the front row of course we got spattered with banana guts and paint but isn't that half the fun? BF didn't quite see it that way especially since of the four of us I was the only one who didn't really get creamed. Can't say I didn't rub in in just a little. Really like the show. Anything that makes me laugh that much I consider a really good time.
After the show we grabbed a cab and headed for Fremont Street. That my friends I believe is a show in all by its self. What a riot. We did the zip line, the picture is one of my favorites. I have this great look on my face that to me shows what fun is all about. The other three pretty much felt the same way. We toasted our flights with several drinks up and down the street. The odd people, the weirdos. Some funny and some very sad to see. The music, the lights, it's a little magical. In and out of the stores, casinos and bars. From one end to the other what great and often strange sights. Got that feeling that my head would swivel off my shoulders I was trying to see everything. Another night of great shared laughs with some of my favorite people. It don't get much better than that. Regretfully but because we were getting more than a little shall we say inebriated, we bid adieu to Fremont grabbed a cab and headed back to the Bellagio. Stopped for a couple of slots and one more celebratory drink and hit beds. Another good day.
