    CET diamond
Had casino host book us under a comp for two nights at Caesar's a drawing and $300 in FP oct. 12-14. Ask host if i could get a comp for the buffet or 2 for one. He answered you have enough tr credits to pay for the buffet. I said I know but wondered because of my play if I good get really comped (not using tr credits) he replyied, charge buffet to your room then when you check out he will take a look at it if on duty? If not on duty to check with a supervisor at the check out desk. You will have a choice of paying with credits or charge your credit card. I cannot promise the buffet will be comped.
It's getting harder to get a true comp.
Has anyone got the buffet comped or seen a 2 for 1 cupon?

The buffet is hot. They will probably never do coupons for it because it will draw business on it's own. Any other comps will be targeted marketing offers once the dust settles to higher level players or discretionary comps after play.

As far as the buffet - it is less than 1 month old, and one of the higher end buffet's on the strip so I would highly doubt they would be discounting it already.

Total Rewards points are a comp.

What your host described to you has been CET policy for over 5 years so why do you say "It's getting harder to get a true comp" ? You got free nights and $400 free play already. That's much higher than CET gives to most (I've been mid level diamond for 6+ years straight), so unless you are high diamond or silver stars that's a pretty decent comp.

Do as he said - charge it to your room and at the end of your trip they will evaluate your play, but available total rewards points are always applied first (except for the comped room of course). Anything above and beyond that is at the host's discretion. But total rewards points are just another way of measuring available comps.

I asked my host for the buffet comp at Caesars this past weekend.
Denied for the buffet, but got a dinner for two at the range steakhouse
Instead. Charged to the room and it was wiped off without a problem at checkout. They didn't take any points.

    Thanks for advice

host has been good to me booking rooms and explaing any questions I mite have (have never met him) I cannot complain about the comps, live in LA about a five hour drive to Vegas and basically have a comped room every weekend of the year with either a slot tournment or 300-500$ in free play, never staying longer then two nights. First year Diamond after many many years as platium so sometimes I get greedy but know I should not complain.
have been going to vegas about 6-10 times a year since 1964 and still waiting to win but all and all over the years, if you include the rooms, shows, buffets, dinner and rc credits spent each trip cost less then takeing the grandkids to Disneyland or a Dodger game. The biggest thing missed over all those years is dressing up for dinner and show and seeing other people dress up. I use to play a penny slot when the max you could put in was a penny.
Just joined this site and love it because all the people are nice and helpfull.

Be glad you are diamond. Diamond line was zero wait all weekend, HUGE lines at all hours for the regular line.

Your host can comp the buffet on a discretionary basis at the end of the trip if your play warrants, but I can't see any 2 for ones or other coupons on this one with people waiting an hour or more to pay $39.99. It is the hottest ticket in town right now.

I assume if you are Diamond you can easily calc the number of comp dollars you have in your account. Although I have run into people that truly did not understand that if they had 192,827 points in their account ($1,928.27) that they did NOT have to pay cash for their meal (seriously!)

So if you are playing that heavy to get $300 to $500 offers, I would expect you have plenty of comp dollars to cover the meal. My offers run $100 & I do about 2 to 3 trips a year (5 days) - I am platinum and I still manage to cover a good portion of my food on most trips just from that trips play (I have extra built from socialrewards & the Great Race last year).

I only bring this up because of the reason I stated above. Just in case.

It has been CET policy for a few years to use Reward Credits for meal comps. For 95% (my guess) of people, this is how it works. Some do get other comps based on play upon checkout. Rare, but it does happen.

Diamond here with a decent ADT - I do not even bother. I have a ton of Reward Credits anyways.

I used my rewards credits when I ate there and it sure seemed like a comp to me. By the way it was great I think I would even pay to eat there. They are way more interested in you than any buffet I have been to recently. Reminds me a little of Wicked Spoon at Cosmo but many more choices.

haha forget about getting the buffet comped, what would be the minimum threshold (as in minimum bet per hand, etc) to cut the line?

That's not how it works at CET hotels. Platinum and Diamond members usually have a separate line but it seems that it is Diamond only (sometimes Platinum midweek, at management discretion) for the Caesars buffet.
