I'll be in Las Vegas on December 2nd (staying at Harrah's) and I want to watch my beloved Texans at a place where I can have a comfortable seat, easy access to some beer, and a lively crowd that is focused on football (over other games that are going on at the same time). The game is an early game, so the LV marathon (i.e. the closing down of the strip) won't have any effect on where I go. What is everyone's suggestions on where I should go?

Caesars Palace, Palazzo and Mandalay Bay have the best sportsbook.

If you plan on watching NFL in Vegas, show up early. At least an hour, maybe more, depending on where you want to go.

Finding people focused on the games won't be hard -- that's everywhere that has sports on. Easy access to beer is also pretty much a given.

So what other factors do you want? Good food? Cheap beer? Overall price? Sorry, but there are just so many options, you have to give us something to work with.

Woo-Hoo! Go Texans! Off to a 4-0 start!

We like to watch football at Mandalay Bay Sportsbook. As someone already mentioned, get there early.

Cheap beer -- hard to beat Hooters and their $1.50 bud lights.

I found the place I was looking for. Blondie's at PH; looks like a typical sports bar and it should have a great atmosphere.

The Pub at Monte Carlo is also a good choice. Its a short walk from the sports book if you need to partake in a fee friendly wagers.

    Btw go Texans!

I personally prefer The Sporting House at NYNY for watching football, but it sounds like you already found a good place. Yay Texans, it's our year!!!

Since the OP is staying at Harrahs, some of the ideas are less favorable, due to distance.

V/P at Emerills stadium is good. CP would be good. Paris also has a nice sports area.

It's off the Strip, but the LVH has plenty of space in either its sportsbook and theatre. Excellent atmosphere. That's where we will be doing our football viewing the entire weekend of Dec 1-2.

I will second lvh as a great off strip property to watch sports. They had a great setup for March Madness this year.

Stratosphere is way down strip but they open up their theater and have pretty good food and drink specials and games and large projectors

    Re:

I want to thank everyone for all their comments and suggestions. All of them were great ideas and I might have used them if the LV marathon wasn't happening on the same day. The strip will be closed from 2 PM tell 10 PM that day and I am worried about getting back to Harrah's after the games; I need to get back, to get ready for dinner at the Palm restaurant and Shania's show at Ceasars that evening.:nworthy::nworthy::nworthy:

Please post your thoughts on Shania's show after you see it. That's high on my list of potential things to do next trip.
