5 months ago, I wouldn't have thought about this, but when you meet the one you know....

Anyways, my soon to be fiancee and I will be planning a trip to Vegas to get married. We met in Las Vegas earlier in the Summer.

Typically I take a guys trip to Las Vegas for a little over a week during the summer, but because we all have girlfriends we'll be planning this together. The goal is to travel together and all have our significant others there for the trip and wedding.

The future wife and I will have a night or two at a nice suite, and then we'll all stay in the time share as couples to enjoy the week. We plan on getting married the following year the same day back at home for extended families.

I guess we're looking for a decent little wedding chapel, and some other ideas to do with friends, and as a couple for our wedding.

    Thanks,
    -LL

    Congratulations!

I thought I remembered your trip report from earlier this year, so I looked it up and see that it is you. What a great story to eventually tell your kids about how you met. Be sure to print a copy of that TR.

    Congrats again!

Thanks folks. I shall pick up Ken's book.

I can't wait for this. I got that Vegasfever though. I want to go back with her sooner!

My Daughter got married last year at the Wynn. Nice service for about 40 people. It was easy in and out for the eldery. Her reception was across the street at Maggiano's. A seperate section from the restaurant. Then all the partiers met downtown on Freemont for the party. Great time.

The wife and I got married 8 years ago at "A Special Memory" chapel. The ceremony was superb, and not pricey at all.

    Ideas

:beer:Make sure you go to the top of the Stratosphere as a couple at night. The views are amazing! Also, check ot Paris hotel and casino, which is right on the strip. It is really romantic and very different from the average casino.
Go to the Venitian for the Gondola ride..sooo romantic and beautiful (choose indoor ride if it is too hot..or try indoor and outdoor).

As a couple or a group you can visit Red Rock for beautiful views from the mountains, hiking, climbing, or whatever. The Bellagio has some really artistic displays that you can check out and they are visible from the moment you walk in.

As a group, you should all rent a limo or party bus and tour the strip and the rest of the city. Go check out 'Minus 5' (it is a really cool ice bar) at the Luxor and see Kriss Angel there as well. Also try the house of Blues (all in the Luxor/Mandalay Bay which is connected to one another).

We got married at Treasure Island in 2006. It was a nice chapel on a different floor than the casino so no noise and very classy. Looked and felt like a real church. The minister was great, the photographers and photo room were all top notch and the flowers were really nice. All told it was a package and we got some huge bang for our buck!

Enough saved to hold a small reception for our friend/family that showed up at the Eiffel Tower restaurant in a private party room over looking the Bellagio fountains. I wouldnt change a thing.

We too did TI in 2006. The group stayed at the Mirage, did a cabana, separate pool day, etc. Great value, and nice if you're not into more elaborate ceremonies.

We also did a guys-vs-gals scavenger hunt leading up to dinner at the mexican place in TI. Dinner was so-so, as was wedding night dinner at Onda.

We were married in Valley of Fire at sunset in 2007. He wanted Vegas, I wanted outdoors. This was the compromise. The setting was amazing and it made for some amazing wedding pictures.

    Congratulations!
