Ok - no one probably even knows yet, but if you stop in there maybe some answers will be available?

New promo mailer came today -

All of your Rewards Credits will transfer drectly to our Marquee Rewards club

Your current tier status will remain the same with us.

2nd one is pretty simple. 1st one is the one that concerns me a bit.
-would I hopefully at least have to opt into that? It makes sense for a local resident. They don't want to have hundreds or thousands in comp value that all of a sudden disappears. But what about someone who went there once a year but has hundreds in comps & normally spends them in Vegas? I don't want my $650 in comp dollars that I use at CET props in Vegas to disappear & end up in the Penn system when I don't even go to M in Vegas just because I went to St. Louis last fall & played/stayed.

    Any thoughts?

I haven't heard about a Hollywood property opening in STL. Is this a new property or did they take over an existing one?

They are taking over Harrah's in November.

Some of the initial news stories seemed to indicate they felt that market area was too saturated. I'm not sure about that - every time we went Harrahs was mobbed - at least on the weekends! I'll definitely miss having a free hotel room to stay at. Only thing I didn't like was it had no pool.

In the meantime they are opening up new props such as Cleveland, Cincinnati (?) and I think Pennsylvania - where there isn't as much competition in a concentrated area evidently.

Was hoping to get one last shot of play in under CET so that i would be on their radar when they switched over - but we are headed west to Rapid City instead of south this year (originally actually planned on goin got Cleveland - that isn't happening either!)

oh I didnt even think about that when we got the mailer. We went last year for a family birthday celebration. Since then we have gotten free play and free week day stays for there and only there (nothing for Vegas or anywhere else), but knew it was highly unlikely we would be back, so never paid much attention to them. But now I wonder, a lot of our credits were earned that weekend, that we have yet to use. Mmmmm. interesting question.

I'm staying at Lumiere next month and hoping to stop in Harrahs. I'll see what intel I can find.

So Harrahs is changing to Hollywood?
