Reading some good local buzz about this joint, I would be pleased to see anything positive come out of the Plaza renovations. Anybody had a slice?

Pop up Pizza and Hash House (and arguably late-late-night McDonalds if you're too drunk to stumble over to the other side of the FSE) are the 2.5 reasons to go into the Plaza.

The restaurant topic features many people having the best and worst slices at every pizza place in Vegas, usually based on how fresh the pie is. Here in Louisville all of the newer slice joints cook each slice to order. I guess in Vegas they are still pointing at cooked pizzas in the display case. No matter how you make a pizza I want to be eating it less than five minutes from the oven.

We grabbed a couple slices with a coupon Plaza gave us at check in ($6.99 for two slices and a drink) We got the first slices of the day, right out of the oven and I've gotta say...they were just ok.

Kinda thin, maybe a little too crispy on the bottom, but not terrible. Wasn't disappointed with the quality to cash ratio.

we had a couple of slices last week on our week long trip and once again it was great.

we always see people go to the counter to comment on how tasty it is.

It's good pizza - but then again there's lots of good pizza in Las Vegas.

I always tell people Las Vegas takes food seriously. Places that struggle to provide a quality dining experience just don't make it long here.

I did not know where this place was. From what everbody is saying, it's like a real pizza joint. It's not. If you walk in the casino, walk all the way back to the bus depot or the elevators. Pizza was great and employees were very freindly. Anything the Plaza can do is good. Keep downtown strong.

I personally found some of the pizza offerings a little too non-traditional for my liking, but the option to get a healthy-sized pepperoni slice for about three fifty rates is a great quick lunch option for me. Would have liked to see some pies coming out of the oven, but my re-heated slice was a decent representation of east coast pizza, I'll be back.

glad to see that others are enjoying the pizza.

our only small complaint last time was that wifey likes to have a glass of wine with the pizza which they have but they should keep it in the fridge rather than room temperature.

The pizza at Pop Up is pretty good. It has a crispy thin crust, ample sauce and cheese. I would call it Boston style. Definitely better if it's fresh from the oven (the first time).

I tried Pop Up Pizza about a month ago and I was pretty impressed. Easily some of the best fast food downtown.

    Pop Up Pizza...

I liked the Pop Up Pizza which I had a couple of weeks ago. I asked for a description of some of the pizzas and then chose the "Fremont" and the "Plaza" slices based upon the ingredients---both were good IMO.

I've tried/liked it too. It's my choice if I'm in that neck of the woods however...
the 'not so secret' Secret Pizza Joint on the 3d floor of the COSMO is my fav.
