Hello - Just wondering if anyone can provide some updated information on the status of the MGM renos?

A few questions our group has:

1 - Is Sigma Derby still operating?

2 - What restaurants are impacted?

3 - Is there a scheduled date for the lions to return or are they permanently gone?

    Thanks!

The lions are permanently gone. My understanding is they were from a big cat rescue nearby in town, so it may be possible to do tours there, not sure.

When I was there a month ago, Sigma Derby was there, but out of order for my entire visit.

If you didn't know the D(old Fitzgeralds) has Sigma Derby downtown. An option if the MGM one is down.

Several sets of escalators were out of order this weekend, and a large number of slots were moved out and areas blocked off in front of the Buffet for carpet replacement (were doing that about 4am this morning).

From what I've read, they removed the lions because the exhibit was taking up space that could be better utilized for revenue.
