Looking to rent a car 10/31 thru 11/7 - was wondering if there are any discount codes to apply to reservation, or where to look for them.

If you have a Costco membership, price rental cars there... I consistently get the rates thru Costco. I'm sure you can find better rates elsewhere, but on a consistent basis no site does me better.

Funny you should ask about cheap rentals for 10/31 to 11/7. Those are the exact dates I will be in Vegas. I have been watching Alamo daily. I was lucky enough to get a convertible for $160.04 , a midsize for $128.72 and a full size for 136.03. These are the total prices including all taxes. I hold 3 reservations and keep checking. Today the cost of these same rentals were over $200.00. I used Alamo's web site with Costco's ID 7014627 and Coupon AD2359FDF for $35.00 off when I booked last week. When I get closer to my travel date I will release two of the cars and hold which ever is the cheapest at that time.

Here are some ID codes for Alamo

    7015479 Master Card
    7015765 Southwest Airlines
    7015504 Visa
    7014291 American Express
    7014627 Costco

    Here are come Coupon Codes

    AD2335FDC $30 Off 5 days Expires Dec 2012
    AD2359FDF $35 Off 5 days Expires 12/31/12
    AD2338FDF $30 Off 5 days Expires 02/28/13
AU2291VYT Free Upgrade Compact - Standard Expires 12/31/12
AD7394SDJ $15 Off 3 day minimum Saturday required Expires 02/28/13
AF8928JDG Free day Compact - Fullsize Expires 12/31/12
AU2852SDA Free Double Upgrade for Alamo Insider Members (Free to join) Expires ???

CostcoTravel.com, if you find one at ALAMO you can click on TERMS and SERVICES of deal and it will show you the ID and Coupon code to use on their main website for same deal. Do that, and when you check in if you scared they will check your costco card (like anyone takes that to Vegas) then just use their KIOSK... you wont talk to anyone lol.

Kcitsme thank you, very much, for posting the discount and ID codes. I plan to see if it might cut my rate for October.

YES! Prices for ALAMO change almost daily. I booked 4 days Convertible, originally well above $200... went down to $138, kept dropping and now its at $112. Check daily. If you want to make it easy on yourself just use CostcoTravel.com to search, and if you see a good # get the coupon codes from it and book directly from Alamo website.

Go to Alamo site and book using the ID and coupon codes given. Try to stay with the ones you are qualified to use, like a Visa code if you are using your Visa, a Costco code if you are a member. It is true you can book using any codes given if you book directly on the Alamo site but if you do use the Kiosk at their airport rental location so you will not have to deal with the counter person. Some of the codes also allow an additional driver free. The only caveat would be if you were involved in an accident and you expected Costo, AARP, Insider, Sam's Club, etc. to be on your side and you were not a member. Coupons are no problem but ID codes could be. IMHO

Just a side note. I just checked the Alamo site for the days I need and the prices are outrageous! Hopefully they will go back down again. Time will tell. I still have a long way to go and I will keep checking daily. Once I find a better price, I will cancel my existing reservations and book anew. Good Luck All!
