Okay.......I am a Survivor Junkie.....I admit it !:nworthy:
    .
It appears to be about having back some
contestants who left early because of medical reasons.
    .
I am not sure THAT PART intrigues me ?:rolleyes2:

I have been watching since season 1. Perfect timing, Big Brother ends and Survivor begins! I don't mind the 3 coming back, they had to leave through no fault of their own the first time. I use to hate them bringing back old players but now I like it. It is nice "knowing" someone from day 1. Lisa Whelchel is on this season too, that should be interesting. From what I have read she has the personality now that will most likely drive me nuts. Some football player too, but that is of no interest to me since I don't follow the game and won't know him from Adam. By the end of the season this thread should surpass the BB one in posts

I haven't watched this much in recent years. The survival pretense got old fast, so now I just watch BB, which acknowledges what it is and runs in a dry TV season.

Oh, and by the way, its not a football player. Jeff Kent was a professional baseball player and a pretty good one.

One of the players coming back is from way back in season 2...so it's not like we just saw him or anything. And the game has changed a lot since then.

I guess it is interesting to have Jeff Kent on there.

Since he is already a millionaire, there is 0% chance of him winning.

If the players were smart though, they would take him to the end. No way the jury gives him the money over the other two.

The Survivor series will most likely go down in history as an excellent study of human nature and behavior. I'm very surprised that we don't have a plethora of papers already published about it.

Watching the players play mind-games and scheme to {f-bomb} over each other has given me more of an insight into the game-playing that goes on in the office.

For some perverse reason, I miss them making the contestants eat all of the gross stuff like they used to do more frequently. :)

Another Survivor fan here. We already have plans to order wings & beer and watch from the room while we are in Vegas. I figure that will save me a few bucks and I won't have to worry about seeing any clips about who got voted off while we were away! I am looking forward to seeing the returning players. It always surprises me when the new players don't organize and get them right off. I think Lisa & the baseball player are hoping no one recognizes them, but we all know that usually backfires! It should be a fun season.

I didn't know Jeff Kent was on this one ?
Wow......like MANY former pro athletes -
HE MAY REALLY NEED THE $$$ !!!!:evillaugh...seriously.
    He might be broke ?
    .
    During his playing days ---
his personality rubbed many people the wrong way,
so......?......they may hate him right away....pro jock or no pro jock !
    .
The returning guy, I sorta liked was JONATHON.
I think he got a puncture wound -- had to leave.
I thought he was intelligent enough -- to give
good insights about what was going on in the game.
Some contestants are as insightful as a 2X4.:evillaugh
They speak to the camera + ya just sit there and say "clueless" !
    .
I have also gone up to my room while in VEGAS to watch Survivor.:nworthy:
    Yup.....I am a Survivor Junkie !

I think they stopped doing the gross eating because all the contestants started showing up prepared to do it, and nobody lost. They also cut out a lot of the swimming events in most recent seasons.

If I'm the baseball player, I'm totally playing it up that 'I can't possibly win' and trying to get to the final 3 that way. Once in the final 3, you have to hope that you've got voters that want the person who 'played the best game' and not the people who are most deserving. It would be a tough sell, but that's your only route I think.

Jeff Kent will be the one I will like to watch. During his playing days he always had a bad temper and was not a people person at all, so it will be interesting to see if he can make it through the game on a social level.

Not a huge Survivor viewer but have watched the last few seasons as I got back into it with Russell Hantz. I must say I'm intrigued with the other returning Russell as part of the medical returnee group, the one who fell over during a comp (am I using BB terminology here?) and had his eyes roll over in the back of his head. He seemed like a stand up guy who deserves another shot.

Jeff Kent? Who? If they don't announce to the Survivors that he's a former pro ball player, he may fly under the radar as he may not have the instant recognizablility that Jimmy Johnson had as he was still in the media spotlight when he was on. But I'm sure someone will recognize him and then he'll be targeted.

From what I always heard, he was a huge cancer in the locker room. I wonder if he will tell everyone right off who he is, or be like that year Garry Hogeboom was on and not tell anyone.

I'd pay good money for each season on DVD, unedited and unblurred. :D

The real question- hottest Survivor woman ever? Dani Boatwright gets my vote. I lived in Kansas City when she won it, always hoped to bump into her and see her in person. Smokin hot!!

Aww, Lucy, don't you like to guess who will be voted out as you're watching it? It's no fun to know ahead of time.
