MGM must like my gambling habits because I'm a low roller but they comped me an Executive Queen Suite, Wet Republic Passes, and Brad Garrett comedy club passes, and additionally the $100/day. I don't understand when the clock starts/stops. I get in Thursday night and Check out Sunday. Am I allotted $100 for Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. The reason I ask is I get in late on Thursday and don't want to lose the credit for that day if that's how it works. Any advice or knowledge about how the resort credit works would be appreciated.
It sounds like you will be staying 3 nights, which would be $300 credit total. If I'm not mistaken, you will be told to charge things to your room and they will deduct the credit from your bill. The clerk will explain it in detail when you check in.
I have been told it is $100 per day, NOT $300 total. Never gotten a good answer on what is a day and what is not. For example, midnight snack at 1am - which day? Breakfast, which day? I get in at 8pm Friday, $100 day, and leave at 11am on Monday. Which hours apply to which days?
I had a similar offer when I stayed at MGM this past July. It was told by my host that I had to spend $100/day or lose it, but the people the desk said I had $400 total to use while I was there (over 4 nights) and the rest would come out of express comps or my host charging it off for me. I went under the $100 a couple of days, and way over on the other two. Just to make sure we would get some of our $100 on the first night, we ran up a room service bill of about $175 with a filet, lobster and some other stuff, even though it was 10 PM Vegas time, and 1AM EST (our home time zone), just to make sure MGM didn't get to keep any of our comps At the end of the trip, the front desk took off the $400 right off the top, and then began taking from my express comp balance to cover the rest. So to answer your question, I still have no idea what their "policy" is, this is just what happened to me on my trip.
That sounds like a great deal! Congrats. If I might ask, what are low roller gambling habits? I have never tried out the MGM but might be interested.
Low roller will mean different things to different people. And, it will vary each quarter as hotel/casinos do better or worse. Low roller for some would be blowing $20 a night. Low roller to others would be blowing $1000 a night. Hard to say.
I was particularly interested in the original posters answer. I don;t think that I made that very clear though.
I threw maybe $100 into various slots and some video poker. Played probably 4+ hours/day at the blackjack tables betting between $15-25/hand and occasionally at most 2 spots at $25. I earned maybe $25 in express comps for my 3 night stay so couldn't have been doing very much comp worthy gambling.
If that's your play, you got an outstanding offer for that much play. A room wouldn't be unusual at lower end MGM properties, but a suite with RFB...that's almost what I get, and I play probably 4 times what you do on a given trip. So book it, and soon, before it goes away! The executive suites aren't really traditional suites, but they are very large rooms, and nice. Maybe 700 square feet, I'd estimate...been awhile since I stayed in one, but it was a good experience.
I was shocked, it was listed in my mLife account after I made a trip at the end of June. I booked as soon as I saw it.
