I always book through my host for our rooms, but I use the snail mailers for the cash slot dollars. Take the mailer, they scan it and say I'm all set.

Anyway, I never received the Sept/Oct mailer even though the offers are in my on-line account. So I called and ended up getting connected to the Player's Club and they told me you don't need the mailer as long as you have ID, the offer can be loaded onto my card.

I thought about this for a day and didn't feel comfortable with that answer, so I called back and asked for casino marketing. Essentially, I got the same answer except she said it is automatically loaded on the card when you check in and if it isn't, check with Player's Club. She also said it's easier to just bring the mailer. Well duh, if I got one, I would bring it.:poke:

We'll see how this works in Oct because our ritual is to get into the room, unpack and head to the Player's Desk to get our credits. I've never gone directly to a VP machine, so I don't know if the credits were already on the card after check in. I'm skeptical.

About a year ago, I arrived early in the morning. I did not try to check in that early, but instead, started playing VP. The $75 free play had already been loaded, before I ever went to the hotel desk.

Three weeks ago, I went back. That time, I needed to check in, then I took the mailer to B-connected desk, and they loaded the $75.

My October/November mailer from MSS arrived yesterday. Same offer --- 4 nights, $75 & food.

Hmm. I've never had to ask for the credits loaded on. That stinks.

My only gripe for them is that their free play is only available for about two-four days sporadically where as most places have free play available for a week. And food credits are only available on the days my free play wasn't available.

My mailer that was supposedly mailed Aug 1st, showed up yesterday, 9/1:poke:

I've been downgraded from $100, to $75 in free play. Next thing you know they'll be taking away our suite.

I understand it since our play has dropped off by about 10-20k in coin-in the last few trips. We're just doing other things, rather than spending 12-14 hrs playing VP and this trip we have a car for all 4 days, so play will go down again.

I can handle losing the suite, just hope to not lose the Gold Card for food.

Glad to hear your mailer finally arrived, Joe. It gives me hope for mine. Since this will be my first time staying at a Boyd property I want to keep it simple. I don't have any freeplay to worry about, but I sure don't want to miss out on the little food offers showing in my account. I will need something to go along with all those microbrews

Someday I hope to learn of this GOLD CARD!

Our mailer came in the mail yesterday also. I had already booked our room through the offer being posted on my internet B-Connected account. We have food offers but no free play. We always rent a car & our mailer has a $5.00 off per day at Advantage Car Rental if staying at MSS (they have a desk at MSS). I feel better when I have proof in my hands. BTW Joe, I just noticed that we get to MSS a few hours before you next month.

The Gold card gives us dinning comps at any of the downtown Boyd restaurants.
There is also (or used to be?) a Silver Card. I don't remember exactly, but it is comps at MSS buffet, Pasta Pirate, the buffets at Fremont & The Cal and maybe even (hate their food) Tony Roma's. Been a while, so I'm not totally sure.

We got our MSS station snail mail offer last week. Today, the Orleans one. We are booked at Flamingo in November. Comped for three nights and have to pay $65.00 for the Friday, Saturday night. May use the Orleans offer of free nights valid 7 nights a week offer. Oh, the fun of planning!!

    Followup

My host finally got back to me and she stated as long as your offer is posted to your B Connected account, you do not need the mailer, just proper ID to redeem it.

To be on the safe side, I would always bring it, but just in case you misplace it, that's good to know.

Mine came in the mail yesterday so I am happy now :)

I just want to make sure I understand the process. I booked my 3 nights online so that is all set. I have 2 coupons for $20 in free dining. Do I present these coupons at the BConnected desk, and get a total of $40 credit applied to my room? Since I am solo I don't expect to use $20 per meal, so I am hoping to just charge everything to the room and that $40 will be taken care of at the end. Am I making sense?

    I can't wait!

Easiest is just present the mailer at the Player's Club & I've haven't used food coupons in a while, but they used to be books of $5 coupons that you received at the PC desk, not room credits.
