Cashing tickets

I am heading out for opening weekend. I will be staying downtown Saturday and at the Flamingo Sunday and Monday. I will have to place my bets downtown on Sunday morning. Wondering if any of the downtown casinos have a relationship with a strip property for when I win big and want to cash my ticket. I don't think there is any, but thought I would ask hopeful that someone knows something I don't. I want to watch the early games downtown and head quickly downtown to finish the rest of the games. Any help is appreciated.

 

Typically, you have to cash your bet at the book you made the bet at, even if they are sister properties.

I just returned from a trip a few weeks ago and you can't cash a Bally's ticket at Paris and a Paris ticket at Bally's even though they are both Harrah's properties and literally connected!

 

That's kind of what I thought, but hoped maybe I was wrong.

 

When I said head quickly downtown in my first post, I meant down to the strip--Fyi. I was just not wanting to head back downtown to cash the tickets. Guess I'll have to either head to the strip and make the bets Saturday night or just hope I win and head back downtown to cash them in. Heading back down to cash them in sounds like the better idea because it will mean I have something to cash--WOOHOO!!

 

You can also cash sports tickets at the casino cage, so you don't have to rush around and restrict yourself to the sportsbook hours!

 

If you want to place your bets Sunday morning, and Sunday is the day you are switching to The Flamingo... an alternative would be to check out of your Downtown hotel early, at like 7-8AM, and then go up to Flamingo and place your bets there and watch the games in their sportsbook.

Thinking:
- On a Sunday morning it is highly likely your room will be available at Flamingo
- Flamingo does have an early check in fee, but they don't always charge it
- If you are worried about the early check in fee its $28, which is probably cheaper than the cost of taking a cab from Flamingo to Downtown and then back again to cash your winning tickets in
- If you are going to watch the games then it doesn't matter if your room is ready or not: because the games start at 10AM by the time you checked out of your hotel Downtown, got up to The Flamingo, checked your bags with the bell desk, went to the sportsbook and placed your wagers, its probably close to game time already. You can then watch the games until 4:30PM-ish, go get your bags, check in to Flamingo, go up to your room, freshen up and then still be back downstairs in time to see the late game.

Another alternative is to bus it up to Flamingo, or wherever you want to bet on The Strip, on Saturday, place your bets then and then bus it back to Downtown.

Different casinos even in the same family, just might not use the same Sportsbook Company.

More and more casinos are hiring Sportsbook companies to run their companies.

I know Southpoint and Cantor are two of them.

 

I think you may have received some bad info. I was at the Harrah's in Reno and asked if I could cash a ticket in Vegas if I were not able to make it back to Reno and he said I could cash any sports bet ticket placed at a Caesars property in the state. I never placed any bets but I thought that was good info to have.

If the OP has tickets to CSS downtown he could always take the bus R/T for $7.00. That's 1/3 or less then a cab.

 

I think CET books allow cross-property cashing, but MGM's do not.

To answer the OP's question, ask at the Plaza downtown (now run by WillHill). I'll bet you can cash their tickets at Ellis Island or Westin or Hooters.

 

That's not true, I literally just tried to do it last week and you can't. You have to cash at the property you placed the bet at. Same applies for TITO vouchers.

I won a 3 team baseball parlay (don't ask why I bet baseball) that I placed at Paris and I tried to cash it at Caesars since we were there for dinner and they told me to go back to Paris. The next morning I tried to cash it at Bally's since I was by the monorail, and again, they sent me to Paris. It seems logical that all CET properties should cash it, but they don't, so lame.

 

I'll have the 3 day bus pass and will just head back downtown if I win. I would rather not get up too early and rush down to the strip. I'm unfortuately a Vikings fan, so I will just sit downtown and watch the Vikes game and then hop on the bus and head to the strip for the afternoon games.
