I can't believe I'm even asking this question, I really should know the answer but I'm stumped. Ok, my mom has an MLife card but my Dad does not. My Dad is going with my husband next week to Vegas. My Dad would like to get a card and have it linked with my mom (since they are spouses of course) so that any play he does next week will go towards express comps etc... for my mom's trip with me in October. So, since my mom will not be there to show ID next week will he be able to get his own MLife card and have it linked together as the same account? Dad won't use any express comps he might rack up (won't even be that much) and he'd rather they be able to be used when my mom goes with me in October instead. Can any of this be done over the phone prior to his trip next week? Make sense? I'm so confused.
Right...I thought that too but two issues here: 1. My mom's card is the old players club card. If I rememvber correctly, after the switch to MLife when my husband and I tried to use our old cards they didn't work and we had to go to the desk to get the new MLife cards. If that's the case, he wouldn't be able to use her card anyway and she won't be there to get a new one. 2. My dad is FORGETFUL. If he can use her old card, I know he will end up leaving her card in the first machine he plays and then she won't be there to get a new one so...that plan doesn't work either. We are difficult people, it always has to be a big ordeal LOL
when i signed my wife up for a card, i just emailed my host and she linked them for me. if you have a relationship with a host, they can do that without anybody even present since they know you. if you don't, they will want to see both IDs at the Mlife desk and so you're screwed.
Ha. Thanks Shifter....looks like they're screwed then. Our lowrolling asses don't even have a relationship with a host...nevermind my parents who visit Vegas maybe once every 5-6 years. Oh well!! I don't think he would've played enough to really make a difference anyway. What about the CET properties...are they the same way? Husband and Dad are staying at Paris this time around.
If your dad is good at lying, he might be able to pull it off. If an older guy went to the MLife desk and acted lost, then told them that his wife is at the mall and that she told him to come link the accounts, but then admit that he really didn't know what it meant... Well they'd probably still tell him no. But I've gotten booth people to do a lot of things for me they shouldn't just by being nice and acting like I don't know what I'm doing. So there's always a chance, and the worst thing they would do is tell him to come back with his wife. I give this about a 15% chance of working.
Hmmm Why don't you just have your dad play on your husbands card so that atleast someone will get some use out of his play?
Hilarious! I've also considered having them try the Bosom Buddies thing with my husband wearing a curly brown wig, a dress and heels....but at 6'3" 235lbs that might look a little suspicious.....
