    I have 6 nights booked at Bally's, Sunday to Friday inclusive, mid October. 5 nights comped, $64 for Friday. I can change the first 4 nights to Caesars Forum Tower for an extra $147+tax total.

    What you need to know -

    • Although there are many other permutations, these are the only 2 options I am considering;
    • I cannot reduce the cost of Caesars by calling;
    • I am Diamond and would expect a North Tower room at Bally's and probably an upgrade to Augustus at Caesars;
    • We have stayed twice at Bally's North Tower in 2010 and had no complaints;
    • We have never stayed at Caesars but have spent some time in the casino and are reasonably familiar;
    • Location is not really an issue for what we have planned, including dining;
    • We spread our play around the CET casinos, so only limited play at our 'home' casino;
    • We might use the pool but just for an hour sometime;
    • We do not hate moving hotels but would not do it just to save a few dollars;
    • We have got used to free rooms! The extra cost would not impact other spending but everyone likes a bargain ;)
    So...what to do?

    To me, its a no-brainer.

    Ballys!

    North tower rooms are really nice;

    You can use the $735.00 + taxes for gambling or food;

    Wanna gamble at Caesars? It's right across the street!;

    Bally's is a CET casino

    That would be a no-brainer but it's $147+tax extra for the 4 nights total, not per night.:beer:

    I like your chances of getting an upgrade at Caesars. $147 seems like a good gamble to me. :thumbsup:

    I have stayed in both the upgraded North Tower rooms and the Augustus tower. I would choose Ballys, I too am a casino hopper, I hate the forever long walks to get off the Caesars property. I stayed once and have not gone back. Yes the Augustus tower is beautiful, we had a great strip view, but I would stil choose Ballys.

    You can still hit 'em a lick with $147.00 total! :thumbsup:

    so, Bally's it is!

    You hear them say "Easy come, easy go?"

    Well, it doesn't come easy. It shouldn't go easy.

    I have enjoyed staying at each strip property at least once, just to try them out. Yes, you can read what others have said about a property you haven't stayed at, but for $147 + tax total, I would choose Caesars just to try it out. After that, you can make up your own mind in the future once you have stayed there at least once.

    My only stay at Caesars was in the Palace tower, and it was wonderful! I have stayed at Ballys both in the North tower and the South tower (and I'm staying there next month!), and it's also nice for free. But if it was up to me with that price difference, I'd choose Caesars.

    I suggest Ceasars just to say you've stayed there. The price difference you quote isn't that much, in my opinion.

    I would pick Ballys for 2 reasons you already mentioned and 1 extra

    - Moving Hotels is just a pain. For me it becomes even a bigger pain because there are nights where I will stay up until 5-6am and then getting up by checkout time is a problem.

    - I have no issues with Ballys rooms and I will take free over paying.

    - While it isn't Ballys, I prefer the breakfast choices in Paris over almost any other casino on the strip. I don't eat large sit down breakfasts so all the little shops that I can get something small at in Paris is perfect for me. Maybe the food court at Caesars is good for breakfast, I've never been there that early.

    I would pick Bally's just because it's so convenient to everything, but I would advise you to try Caesars for that price and decide for yourself for future trips. I found that when we stayed at Caesars, most of our play was at Caesars. When we stay on the other side of the strip, it's more spread out.

    Agree with all of the above.We get all CET properties comped but always choose Paris (or even Bally's) We visit Caesars during each trip but it is just too big and set back too far to be home base. Either way - hope you have a wonderful trip!

    Stay at Caesars--as you say, you are diamond and they will probably put you in Augustus. When you see that room, gaze over the fountains, and look across the street, you will wonder why you ever considered staying at Ballys.

    I agree. I like both places but I prefer Caesers. I am diamond and usually we were able to be to upgraded Augustus Tower rooms. The Forum tower rooms are nice.

    I would try it once for $147. Then you will know

    Thanks for the responses. I was battling a McAfee problem yesterday so did not have much time for Vegas thoughts! I'm leaning (slightly) towards Caesars for the new experience but plan to make a decision today.:beer:

    Even though I recommended Ballys earlier in the thread, I tell everyone that asks me about Vegas they should stay in Caesars or Bellagio at least once. Waking up to the fountains is and that view is something everyone should experience.

    Decision made! I have changed the first 4 nights to Caesars Forum Tower for $153.89, including tax. It seems a decent price for a new Vegas experience and hopefully we will get an upgrade to Augustus or Octavius.:thumbsup:

    Good Choice!!

    You should be able to get that 158 covered with comps fairly easy.
    The first chance we had at free rooms at CP we took them and it
    was awesome

    Have had Palace Tower :peace: loved it
    Roman Tower :grrr: (yuck)
    Octavius Tower :nworthy: luvit luvit
    and in 2 weeks we get to try Augustus Tower :drunk:

    We Liked Bally's too but CP is a very nice change

    Free is awesome but for that price at Caesars...I'd be swayed.

    Have fun.

    Can you give me some feedback on the drawback of Roman Tower? I just checked my options and we had originally booked 3 nights at RIO then 4th at IP and now it says I can change 2 of the nights to CP Roman or Forum tower. We probably wont need to do the 4th night at IP afterall so it would only be 1 change and would love to do it to stay at CP just to say we did, but now that I see your post it scares me LOL. is it that bad?
