I'd say the tropicana pool looks up there!

    In no particular order...

    1. Encore Beach Club
    2. Wet Republic
    3. Hard Rock
    4. Mandalay Bay Beach Club
    5. Garden of the Gods at Caesars Palace

Encore Beach Club is a BEAUTIFUL facility, but my vote goes to... SURPRISE... Hard Rock! Their 4 pools, 5 if you include the SkyBar (or whatever it's called this week) and landscaping are incredible. ReHab's a zoo I'll admit, but the other 6 days of the week are fantastic there and the "scenery" is top notch. I've stayed several times in the pool-villas that have a private patio that opens onto the Breathe Pool. You can still see the "shinanigans" goin' on at the party pools, but far more relaxing up there.

it depends on what you're looking for in a pool. personally i'd say the Encore Beach Club and Wet Republic totally suck. but if you like drunk and loud college students standing around in their own urine, you may think they're the best places around. if you like quiet and laid back pools, the Bellagio pool is up there.

Surprisingly Luxor has a decent pool as well. Worst has to be either PHo or Paris.

I've always had an awesome time at the Monte Carlo pool.

I second this, Mandalay Bay's Pool area is my all time favorite and I have been to almost every pool in Vegas.

I really enjoyed Wynn, not super loud and very good cocktail service. Palazzo's was, meh. Caesar's just doesn't work for me.

For a mid-range resort, I vote for Mirage. For value, Golden Nugget.

Wynn would be my pick on the Strip.
Not too loud. Nice lap-swimming canal(?) between the two round pools.

The small pool at M Resort is nice, too.

My wife and I choose hotels partially because they have nice pools.

All around vote goes to the Mirage. Scenic. Good amount of sun/shade. Mixed crowd. Not too young. Good drink service. Could find chairs.

Liked the Flamingo, but property needs rehab.
Looked forward to MB's when we stayed there but could not find seats.
Rio and Caesars were up there. We were actually at Caesars when they filmed Hangover.
Never made it to Venetian's due to weather in October.
Looking forward to Bellagio's in a few days.

    Completely agree with this!
I would add Wynn as very close to Bellagio with Aria a notch below those two.

Can guests of NYNY go to Mandalay Beach for free? Or is there a cover?

We like the pool for relaxation, a break from the noise and pushing, and hangover recovery. Have enjoyed the pools at MGM, Mandalay, Rio, Paris isn't too bad, Mirage looks very nice, Harrah's is not much to it, very basic. One annoying thing from MGM pool a few weeks ago for me, is that in their main pool area they were playing music Jimmy Buffet, stuff like that, but at the lazy river it was very loud more club type music...much less relaxing for a morning trip to the pool for me.

Never splashed around in the pool at the Mirage but it looks great too.

    +1

Personally, I don't even think resort "pools" and "pool party pools" are in the same category. The ECB pool and pool deck itself is a gorgeous facitlity but the fact that it's not a pool area you can go chill and swim and it "is" a drunken urine (and who knows what else) infested frat party doesn't put it in the "pool" category to me....it's a nightclub during the day. I'm secretly hoping the Health Dept shuts it down someday and Steve turns it into a 3rd pool area at Encore.

My choices based on overall pool ambiance and keeping in mind they have multiple pool areas would be:
    Wynncore
    Bellagio
Mirage (would be higher if it wasn't such a PIA getting a poolside chair in the morning)
    Mandalay Bay
Aria - Looks nice but I haven't been there yet.

Mirage and Mandalay get my votes. Used to love Trop's pool but I've discovered there are other nice pools as well.
