Heading to vegas on monday and are staying at ballys for first time. Always have stayed at Harrahs and wanted to see if Ballys steakhouse is worth a trip or just go back to the Range. Is the bar at Ballys steakhouse nice..any happy hour specials? Any other restaurants you recommend at Ballys? Napoleons piano bar worth going to? Thanks!

I had dinner at Bally's steakhouse once. It was very good, but I didn't like the room. Dark, lots of wood, felt "closed in." I much prefer the atmosphere at the Range, especially with the piano bar and the windows overlooking the Strip. And I've never had a bad meal there. :)

Based on the quality and flavor of their medium rare ribeye, Bally's for sure.

Never been to Bally's so I can't say.

We've been to The Range on a couple of occasions.
Nice setting with some really tasty offerings.
    A very solid, mid-priced steakhouse.
    I think you'd enjoy it.

I personally liked the dark, lots of wood, "Hunt Club" atmosphere at Ballys Steakhouse. I'm a woman but somehow the "masculine" brand of decor has always appealed to me. (My house is done up in Burgundy and Hunter Green tones - the first thing my daughter said when picking out colours for her new home was - "no green!") The steakhouse may have had similar complaints because they've done away with the hunter green wallpaper and added vertical green and white stripes. Still has the hunt club feel, but the place is a little brighter than it was.

Thanks for feedback..I do love the Range and go up to the bar on every visit but wanted to see what feedback was on Ballys steakhouse since we will be staying there for first time.

I was debating on these 2 steakhouses for my upcoming bday dinner in Vegas, but I decided to go with the flamingo's new steakhouse Center Cut.hopefully I don't regret my decision.

Old style steakhouse. Good meat and good service.

Been to both- thought Range was better food and liked Bally atmosphere better. I believe tix4 tonight works at both, but at least the Range offers a limited menu.

Does the Range have more of a dress code?

At the Range, i was there with about 7 others and most had shorts and a nice golf shirt or for the women a nice top (no problem). Bally the same.
