OK, gonna be downtown in 6 weeks. I have loved palying Craps at the Plaza since I was not legally supposed to....LOL.

Last summer when I was there, it was being remodeled, so no craps.

My question is this....What are the minimum bets at the tables there now, and is it still the old timers rockin' it every night??

I was there a few weeks ago. They have $5 minimums. One table of regular craps and one table of crapless craps. I don't recall an old timer crowd in particular.

The renovations were very nice though.

Yes, Plaza has $5 craps. I'll just mention that Main Street Station does also with up to 20x odds.

M.S.S may have the best craps game ( ALL things considered) in the valley.

MainStreet is next door to the Plaza. Leave your car where it is parked.

The Plaza dice and layout had a wild design which made me dizzy. Anyone else notice that?

The Plaza also offers the "fire bet" on their craps layout - with a difference...

It pays on three (3) points made by a shooter. The only layout in Las Vegas that I've seen with this particular pay table.

Here's a description of my encounter with Plaza craps and the fire bet:

    Enjoy!!

My craps experience started at the Plaza about 15 years ago playing $.25 craps. $5 tables is so much easier to teach the correct betting amounts.

My first big hand (shooting) was at the Plaza. I started the roll off with back-to-back Yo's with a $1 parlay on the C&E. It paid big for me at the time anyway. I then went on to shoot for more than 30 minutes. We were packed and ready to head for the airport and I couldn't 7-out. Most of the group we were traveling with started to get pretty nervous (wife) about getting to the airport. My Dad (deceased now) backed me up and kept telling them "you can't expect him to leave in the middle of a good roll".

The last roll of the trip got me back to even for the trip and off to the airport we went.

So glad to see the Plaza getting back into shape. I'd like to see the place be successful. Will be back this weekend with 2 nights free.

Something happened to my count-down timer, we land in 36 hours.

The Plaza was also my first real casino Craps experience, and I ended up ahead by enough that my trip was paid for! Guess it cements the memory that way...LOL.

I had grown up visiting my granparents every summer for a month in Vegas , and learned to deal out there. In Texas, I worked a part time job as a craps and blackjack dealer for private parties while in college, so my 1st time I already knew the game, just had never put real money on the table.

Very fond memories of playing for hours, talking with the guys (never enough women playing. I'm a stright woman, don't get me wrong...but I am often saddened the way women get all freaked out and don't want to stretch their pretty little brains and learn a real game...), and just enjoy playing a great game.

Plus at MSS you get to play with a bunch of nice Hawaiians. Always have a fun time with my friends from the 50th state.

The table can get packed but the more the merrier.

    Count me in, too.

I used to love that $.25 cent crap game at the Union Plaza.

You could put $1.25 odds behind your 6 & 8 line bets and get full $1.50 odds. And you'd bet $1.25 placed on the 6 or 8 and get $1.75 paid for those.

Buy in for $40.00, play and listen to "Can the Plaza buy you a drink?" from the cocktail waitresses all afternoon. Can they? You bet, sister!

Now that was low-rollin' in style!!

And if you were really hard up, you could play those $.01 cent penny slot machines over by the snack bar....

A poker dealer once told me, "It's a great system. Pennies go in and they don't come out."
