Had a very pleasant 25 min ride from Binions downtown to the airport this morning. LEFT fremont sstreet about7:13 and were at the airport before we knew it. It was longer to get to ticketing than I thought it would be but we had allowed time for the new adventure. Definetly will do again since we have our reduced fair passes.:nworthy:

Remember you can just pay the $2 cash when you get on at binions, I had some guy telling me that you had to buy a machine pass(and the machine didn't sell single ride passes), but of course he was wrong.

Merlin is correct. For the WAX you can pay the 2 dollar one way ON the bus.

The person who said you had to buy a ticket at the machine was probably talking about the SDX.

Just to update this thread -----

Arrived via SWA about 11:30 a.m. 8/1/12. Was able to grab my bag off carousel & make it down to level zero with plenty of time to catch the 11:59 a.m. WAX. Cost $1. I have senior citizen I.D.

Took off right away. Not crowded.

A few brief stops later, maybe about 30 minutes, was getting off downtown.

    8/7/12 ----

Waited by the corner of Binions & Fremont with my $1 bill & senior citizen's I.D. Easily boarded the 9:25 a.m. WAX. Fairly crowded, but not a problem. Enjoyed quick trip to McCarran.

    Question

Do the WAX and SDX both stop at the same place at Binions?

OK, thanks. I thought the Wax dropped off at the end of the canopy, same place as the deuce bus. Doesn't matter much, though.

Is the bus always on time?

I'm staying for the first time (just for one night) downtown and will take the WAX. My flight is scheduled to arrive at 6:45 and if the schedule is correct the bus leaves at 7:05....So, do I make a run at it since I'll be one of the first off the plane (not checkin a bag) or should I grab a Starbucks and chill and wait for the eight oclock one?

    Thoughts? Similar Experiences? :poke:

Based on my 3 trips the WAX is on time (both at the airport and downtown) .... within a couple minutes or so.

Be aware though that they stop running from the airport at 11 pm so if u have a late flight in or a flight delay u can still use the 108 Paradise or the 109 Maryland Parkway but then u have to connect at the BTC to get to Fremont St. A Cheap way to go but I would avoidtransferring buses at the BTC late at night

I have seen it 5 min late leaving the airport, and a few min late from downtown, thats about it though. not really a concern.
It will never leave early, if it arrives early it will just wait.
