I am staying two nights at the GN before I stay at TI. I will have a car and will need parking. Is parking at the GN free for people staying there?

    GN Parking

I have always found the GN parking to be really quick and easy. I think on the weekends they will have a guard checking to see if you have a room key.

I was wondering this as well, but I also have a question about checkin. From what I am reading there are more than one checkin locations.

I have booked in the Carson tower by phone and informed them I have a Landry's card. Where am I supposed to check-in? We will be driving up, what street do we pull into?

I had the same question until I looked at a GN property map. Looks like you exit the parking garage at street level, use the crosswalk into the casino, hang a right near starbucks, and there lies the Carson Tower check-in.

Be there in 6 days so I hope that's the one.

Here is the link to the forum sticky with the hotel maps and street names around the casino. https://www.vegasmessageboard.com/forums/showthread.php?t=62342
Driving from Canada, I would use google maps to get directions there.

Just a quick tip that we accidentally discovered in April: We were staying in the Carson Tower, but had used the Valet just outside the Rush Tower entrance, and GN Parking garage. As we left the car, I motioned to my wife the direction of the "Carson" entrance, and the valet attendant overheard us and said that no, anyone can use the Rush Tower checkin. At the Rush checkin desk, there was no one waiting, empty. We were checked into our Carson room instantly. We then walked by the Carson checkin on the way to the elevators, which had its' usual long, long, line of people waiting to checkin. Hope this helps!

    Thanks, that does help.

I also noticed the VIP checkin is across from the Rush Tower check in, I think my Landry's card will let us use that desk. I'm thinking I'll go the desk that has the shorter line.

As for driving, navigate to the intersection of 1st and Bridger (which is behind, or south side of Golden Nugget), turn north on 1st Street. The parking garage is on the left, Carson tower entrance is on the right, or straight ahead to Rush Tower valet/entrance. Have a great trip.

When I stayed there last month, I never saw anyone checking in guests at the Carson Tower. We parked in the main valet and checked in at the main registration desk.

Yes, you're right. The Main Valet and Main registration checkin (long lines) entrance is on Casino Center, while the Parking Garage and Rush Tower Valet/registration checkin is on 1st. Much less confusing than my description, sorry!

    VIP checkin

If you booked and mentioned your Landry's card go straight to the VIP near the Gold tower, that is the one that is always open, the VIP near the Rush tower isn't always open and they often check anyone in there if it is busy. The main VIP check is is near the gold tower elevator and the gold tower main check in. You can look and see the hour long line up at the regular gold tower check in and laugh to your self as you get checked in in under 5 min.

We will be arriving at the hotel at about 11pm. Will there still be long lines at check in at that time of night? If so, I may upgrade from the Gold Tower to the Rush tower.
