    Hey all,

I'm heading to Vegas on 2nd september and staying at the
Mirage until 11th and I was wondering how busy it gets in the start of September? Is it really jam packed? And also what kind of weather can I expect in that month to?

    Thanks

It'll be hot and you are talking about the last long weekend of summer so it'll be busy as well.

I'll be there (the Mirage) from the 5-11th. I expect it to be busy, and even busier when you are there. You are there for Labour Day (last party of the summer) and leading into the the NFL Season. It will still be HOT HOT HOT.

So it's going to be super crazy busy?? Have I booked the wrong time then?? And will it at all die down? I won't be going gamble mad as its a trip I'm treating my girlfriend to as her 21st so she wants to shop!! How would the casinos be during the day? I wouldn't really go during the night!

What is super crazy busy for you?

I've gone on plenty of holiday weekends and I never have an issue doing anything. I never have a problem getting on slots or tables. Restaurants might be slightly more crowded with a longer wait, but never anything unbearable to me.

Things in high demand might be difficult to get. Things that come to mind would be chairs out at pools and getting into the nicer nightclubs. If you want to see a specific show, you can already check now to see if tickets are sold out or not.

Maybe I just missed the height of vegas in the mid 2000s, but I've never felt Vegas was overly busy(I've never been there during CES, I imagine it is crazy then). I expect March Madness to be very busy in sportsbooks and bars, but I've never had issues with any other activities. I expect summer to be busy at pools, but again I've never had issues with anything else.

I’ve been the past two or three Labor Days. It will be slightly busier than a “normal” weekend, but nothing too crazy. If you have a restaurant that you must eat at on the 2nd, definitely make reservations now. Other than that, you won’t notice a whole lot different from a regular weekend.

And Labor Day is the 3rd – that’s when everyone will be heading home that weekend. The only night that might be crazy is the first night you get there. Don’t sweat it.

Thanks I totally forgot its labour day in the states then! I arrive on a Sunday but no need to make reservations for restaurants, it's all new to me but I can see how it all goes when I arrive. Just the heat that will be a killer, it's in the 40's :rolleyes2: so it will be a lot hotter then I am used to

it will be warm, but not hot compared to July/August. could be over 100, but most likely in the 90s, which is great weather in the desert. but Labor Day weekend will be very busy. but after Monday, it should be pretty dead.

I go every Labor Day, its slightly busier than a normal summer weekend, but I wouldnt say crazy. The pools are packed, casino's about normal. Clubs bring in lots of special guests so they can get crazy if you are into that whole trendy club thing.

The weather last year was 100 plus each day. It was HOT! We hung in the pool all day and then came out at night. I think its a great time to go to LV!!

Just a quick tag on to the original posters question regarding how busy September is! We are there 27th to the 4th October. Is this looking to be a busy time or fairly steady.

Doesnt matter either way just wondered.

    Cheers

I doubt there are any concerns for you to be worried about unless you plan to hit up the hotter restaurants and clubs.
