My wife and I are staying at the Palazzo for 4 days later this month and we're both scotch drinkers. Just curious what single-malts V/P will comp for low-level blackjack players ($25-$50/hand) while playing. I'm sure the sky's the limit in the H/L room, but we won't be venturing in there. I just don't like having to run down the list with the CW who may or may not know what is available.

Have had good luck at Bellagio (Oban, Lagavulin, etc) and Wynn (Macallan and so on) in the past. We're not super-picky but prefer a good single-malt to say JW red. Thanks for any insights and any other advice on the V/P. First time staying there for us.

I have only asked for Macallan 12 and Glenfiddich there. I am not too picky about free single malts :)

I know it's not a single malt but I've gotten Johnnie Walker Black Label comped there before for playing in that range at the casino tables. Beats the red label you mentioned :) Would have had to pay for Blue Label - I did ask.

    thanks

Thanks for the info guys. I'm not totally against JW Red, but all those you've mentioned are an improvement for sure. :)

Scotch you say?.... You can run your lawnmower on that stuff.

Give me a Woodford Reserve on the rocks!

I've had JW blue brought to me by simply asking the cw which of the JWs could she bring out here on the floor as I was handing her a red chip. It's all about being friendly & of course the money that you give the cw.

You can also take a quick peek at the VP bars and see what bottles they have. Choose a favorite or two and remember your second choice. Ask for what you want and then have your backup plan if you're shot down.

Cocktail Waitresses rarely actually know very accurately what of anything they have. If you ask them "what scotch" or "what beers" they have, they'll usually just rattle off the 3 most commonly ordered. But if you call it by name, there's often a good chance they have it.

I drink beer a lot. But when I ask what beers they have . . . it's Bud, Coors Light, Bud Light. It took me a long time to realize that MOST casinos have Sam Adams which I love. So I just ask for it now.

    You can make your own!!

take a rubberband ball and light it on fire.

Once its melted, drink the liquid.

    Instant scotch!!

not a drink for me at all.
