just spent the last si weeks in vegas .went to a few clubs ,heres my review.

first off average beer prices are between 8 -10 a bottle and mixed drinks are around 14$ ,so just a heads up

marque ,my favorite mondays is off the hook

tuesday went to pure still going strong

wensday went to lax still crowed but not as many hot or trendy people as before ,much more touristy.ladis get in free just look for the guys handing out wristbands at the casino and guys get reduce from them.

hyde friday wasnt to impressed with it ,not realy a dance club more a table place .about 95 percent of the place are all tables and both for bottle service

    tao saturday still packed .
    pure friday still packed

went to chatuea friday and saturday had a good time ,nice outdoor venue

p.s its very easy to get free or reduce by just walking by the clubs ,you will see people with cards or wristbands ,just ask them

from my observations if you go between 12 .30 and 1 am and you dress right you should have very little waiting at most clubs.

i also notice more sneakers in clubs than before

    "Sneakers In Clubs"

To me, that's a sign that some properties are desperate to fill their clubs so they are lightening up on the dress code. :nono:

Both of these observations tell me the clubs aren't as crowded...

Thank God they keep the rif raf out of the good clubs in NY where you wait in line to pay a cover charge just so that you can spend hundreds of dollars on over priced alcohol and be seen at a good club. To each his own, but you can have it.

p.s 99 percent of clubs in nyc dont have cover charges and you dont wait to get in , either your getting in or move on and try a differnt place

I would think that buying your way in sounds like a cover charge even if one wants to pretend it is not

actually it sounds like something worse

Went to 1OAK dec '10 in NY. Thought it was "the place to be" but I found it way overrated. It was tiny as hell and the music (dj) was only play top 40 stuff as if you were listening to the radio.

Hope I have better luck in Vegas!

correct 1 oak and avenue in nyc are both very small clubs ,more like boutique clubs and the music changes every nite depending on the djs.
in ny tiny is more of the normal now. only real mega clubs are marquee and pascha and nobody from nyc realy goes there mostly people from jersey and b & t crowd.ps if you want to see a small go to electric room ,it only holds 100.

the only club in vegas thats like a real ny club in size and feel is saville row ,it was designed by 2 new yorkers ,hyde in vegas is i boutique club as its not that big and mostly boths.sounds like your looking for marque or xs in vegas

I wouldn't say the bigger the better (I've been to several pacha's and didn't like any of them) but I like a club with several different area's. I was at the ministry of sound last friday in london and although they have several area's and they played good music that night (trance) I wouldn't be going there ever again. Firstly because of the attitude of the bouncers (I was on the guestlist) and then the man/woman 90/10 percentage. Also it was way too busy inside. I questioned if I could make it to the nearst fire escape if needed...

if your game and dont mind nude people in the pool at 3 am you should try lebain at the top of the standard hotel in nyc,ps nyc bouncer are like that but the door men tell you upfront if your getting in if not you just move to a new club no waiting no bullshit so its thats not bad.i just spent last month in france and lets say cannes bouncer are no pleasurei saw people in line for 3 or 4 hours in cannes with no chance of getting in they where just rude .

Don't think I'll be heading to NY anytime soon but thanks for the tip. Reminds me of hotel gansevoort with the pool on top. Except for maybe the nude bit. had some drinks there before we went to 1OAK (my wife reminded me that we were nude once in a bangkok hotel roof top pool but that wasn't a night club ;))

French bouncers are some of the worst. The way they walk around they think they're in the french foreign army or something.

Bouncers forget that 99.9% of the people there are there to have a good time. It's often ruined by the bouncers or jerks with attitudes behind the bar.

A friend of mine is in cannes as we speak. Gonna ask him if he's planning to go out.
