Never got to experience this theater, and didn't hear from anyone else regarding it. But learned this on Facebook this morning:

Greetings mes braves! Insurgo is no longer producing at The Plaza. We want to thank them for a great run and wonderful hospitality! If you're looking for live theatre, check out The Onyx, Las Vegas Little Theatre, Sirc Michaels Productions, Cockroach Theatre, and Atlas Theatre. It's been a pleasure to perform for you. Contact us at [email protected] with any needs. Thank you!

Apparently they have moved to V Theater at Planet Hollywood, beginning with Evil Dead The Musical

Just saying...the New Plaza seems to be heading towards the Old Plaza.

    This news doesn't surprise me.

When I stayed at the Plaza I was interested in seeing a show, but the box office was always closed and as far as I could tell there were no other ticket outlets in the building. I wasn't too motivated so I gave up after looking around 5-10 minutes.

Insurgo and the Plaza certainly weren't publicizing this show, that's for sure!
    The Plaza's got problems.

Is it too soon to invoke the old "lipstick on a pig" metaphor? Okay, we'll wait awhile longer.

When I got a ticket for Avante Garde in February, the box office was a temporary structure outside the main theater door, on a folding table and chair. After that, they started using the concierge desk.

    poor old plaza!

we sure like the rooms though and we have gotten a great price last 3 or 4 stays there but I guess the upcoming "resort fee" will nix that also.

we will really be upset if pop up pizza goes downhill also.

Anyone else notice that pretty much every property that Jackie has sold has gone in the crapper?

Only because the same people bought all of them. The only one that is going well is the Gold Spike, which they dumped after they bought it from him.

It's pretty clear they dont have a clue, they got a good deal on nice furniture and everyone got exited. They're still the same managers that ran the western down(if that was even possible), ran the LVC to where it is today(rooms closed, areas abandoned, obvious neglect) and ran the old plaza to collapse.

A leopard can't change his spots, at least not without firing the managers that failed so completely.

Right. Siegel group purchased Gold Spike from Tamares Group after Tamares Group bought it from Jackie.
