    Hello all,

Has anyone seen the Popovich Pet comedy show that is playing at the Planet Hollywood casino?

I can print out a 2/1 coupon, and since my husband and I are animal lovers, thought this might be fun.

I do realize this is probably geared towards kids, but I would appreciate any reviews anyone can give.

    Thanks Again,
    K-9treatbaker

We've seen it twice a few years apart and enjoyed it both times. It's not a real long show but it's fun to have a little afternoon diversion and great for animal lovers.

Thank you both for the quick replies. I am going to print out the coupon and we will go see it.

It sounds like fun, and since I used to own a dog rescue for many years, it will be fun for us.

Thanks and I welcome more replies.

I saw it last September. I loved it. I had used a groupon and then ended up paying an extra $10 when I got there for premium seats. It was really not necessary as the theater is fairly small. I think any seat would have been good.

    Enjoy!

Good to read some positive comments. I'm keen on animals, especially cats, so thought this would be a great show. I was put off by lots of reviews which stated that the animals were a small part of the show, the rest was poor juggling and so forth, and the venue/seating was poor.

I will have to look at this again.

Well now, that is the truth. There is a lot of time where Popovich is on the stage without the animals, juggling, etc. Still entertaining though. Like I said, the theater is small, so I would have assumed that any seat would be OK, so I'm not sure what that meant. As I said, I paid $10 extra for premium seating.

Could you please share where you found the printable coupon? My friend and I are going in another couple of weeks and want to see this show as we are both animal lovers as well.

Is the juggling competent or someone bumbling around dropping things?

He's very competent. This guy works his a$$ off during the show.

    Thanks.

I don't know if it would be too many shows to see the Comedy Pet Theater, Nathan Burton, and then Jeff Civillico, three afternoons in a row.

We saw his show years ago when he was doing a super cheap afternoon show in Branson. My wife and I found it tedious, the kids loved it!

I think I'll pass on the pet theater. I just read a number of poor reviews on TA including that the man kept dropping things and a poor cat that didn't cooperate was literally tossed across the stage. :(

Mr. Popovich is from a family of Russian circus performers, and that is the foundation of the show. The animals give it heart, and they are put to good use, but cannot maek up the entire show. Popovich and his daughter, along with various acrobats, comedians, and jugglers, do an admirable job with their various talents. It is somewhat old-school, and that's what I loved about it.

Also, the animals are all saved from shelters, and have been given the spotlight based upon their natural talents. There is a heartwarming video segment between acts which shows the animals being rescued from shelters, where they now live, and how much they are loved.
