The topic of the ferris wheel got me thinking what would I pay $20 to do?

I would gladly pay $20 for a behind the scenes tour of a big hotel. Obviously they cant show you too much behind the scenes in a casino but it would be neat to see the giant rooms full of beer or the giant laundry machines.

I saw Binions on one of the ghost hunter type shows and there were some cool old rooms and the old unused buffet and stuff. Would love to see that.

Imagine how big the area is where they store the food. It has to be huge in a place the size of say MGM. How about where they store all the towels. Can you imagine how many towels are there?

I would spend an hour doing this for sure.

I'd like to see a behind the scenes tour of a full blown, busy as hell buffet kitchen and how they manage to keep the food stations full while prepping and cooking to replenish.

Bet you will see and hear a lot of shouting, yelling, profanities, utensils clanging, pots, trays, plates being slammed and thrown all over the place. Controlled chaos is probably the best word for it.

Would be kinda like "Dinner Impossible", "Hell's Kitchen", and "Iron Chef" all rolled into one.

Cooking for the masses must be a logistic nightmare...:evillaugh

I would love to do a behind the scenes tour. I would actually be most interested in the accounting. I can't even begin to imagine what a casino/hotel's electric bill is.

I did have to walk thru the back end of the casino once to retrieve my lost drivers license, that someone was actually nice enough to turn in! THAT was very interesting, lol.

I paid for a tour of Cirque du Soleil's LOVE theater and behind the scenes. Well worth it. Also was taken by security into the catacombs of the Mirage to claim a personal item that was turned in after I lost it. An entire world back there.

Yes, I would pay for it.

MLife should consider this as one of the perks.

I love behind the scenes tours! The one that covered the attics & basement at Biltmore is one of my favorites. I would totally pay for this at a casino:thumbsup:

Though tv shows get into a fair bit of it, and of course I've seen every Vegas show over the past decade, so.......

I would pay. I think it's very interesting times how they operate. I really liked the show that used to be on, I think it was American Casino. I'd like to know more about the security and gaming side.

Sometimes it shows up in places I'm not expecting - I was watching Andrew Zimmern Bizarre Foods America (I record all episodes) and in Las Vegas they went behind the scenes to cater the big celebration they had for Muhammed Ali. He also went to the same pig farm MGM sends their buffet scraps too (that Mike Rowe visited years ago):peace: Yeah, the kitchens are my favorite behind the scenes visits!

But I liked American Casino and The Casino for what they showed about casino operation (scripted or faux-reality though it might have been...)
