No changes are permanent, but change is.

    Thanks for posting.

My poker has shifted throughout the years as well. Mostly a $4-$8 and up limit player, my play has shifted from The Mirage until about 5 years ago when action there died down, the 5AM treats went away as did the easy Cravings comp.

I left for The Wynn, which had great limit action the first few years. Over the past year plus, limit is rare with mostly 1/2 or 2/5 NLH and up the only games going. Both had manager changes per the article.

I'm looking for a good solid place to pick up the slack.I plan on trying Aria either in September or November. MGM and The Orleans are my other two regular rooms and they are still decent though not ideal (I hate the room layout / noise at MGM and sometimes it's hard to get action at The Orleans).

Sometimes I'll slum at a $3/$6 Bally's game and usually get decent tourist action. Bellagio has one or two under $10/$20 limit tables and management is aloof to say the least.

I miss Wynn's limit games for a lot of reasons. I liked the regulars, great staff, good with food comps and of course the hottest drink girls in the universe!

I would like to not play at Bellagio, same reasons as Viva's, but it's one of the two $4-$8 rooms. I like Venetian though I hate the scent, lol. The noodle bar is great though.

I don't think Aria has limit action, but I have not been around in a year. I wish it did.

Next trip I'm sure I'll hit up Mirage for late night $3-$6 unless I can learn NL by then.

Yes, Mirage was my poker breakin joint (only played home games - don't go to the local boats) and Wynn my graduation room. Smoking cocktail waitresses and talent parading by always kept the games lively. Would get a good mix of tourists and regulars (about 50/50), of which I would recognize several from trip to trip. Not a V/P fan (the resort in general - played poker there only once and it was OK though I can't stand their scent or stench.

I meant to check out the room at Aria but still haven't made it. I would play limit there if they had a game (and made it easier to get to the casino via the strip - the CC is the worst designed property in Vegas (and I haven't forgotten the Aladdin/PHo).

Mirage has a $6-$12 game every once in a while and generally has 1-2 $3/$6 tables. My last three trips to Wynn were NL only.

I'm staying a night at South Point and will check out their room while I am there and report back. Former Vegas dealer and prolific poster Falcon Rob said he enjoyed playing there.
