At what threshold do properties generally start reimbursing for airfare?

i have been offered charters. And seen some "flyback" offers.

Do not know for sure, but I am thinking you need to be well above getting suite, food, beverage, freeplay, shows before airfare kicks in. That is what is known as a HARD COMP. Money has to come straight out of the casino's pocket.

Are you getting those other comps now?

Yes. I'm just wondering at what losing/winning threshold do they generally start reimbursing HARD COSTS. $10K a trip? $20K a trip?

I once got airfare reimbursement after a $20k loss at Bellagio, this was 2003 or so. I believe now they kick in at an actual or theoretical loss of over $50k though.

How much loss are you thinking you might hit?

    Past losses?

    Reimbursement

On excellent authority I can say that air fare of $500 was recently reimbursed by a Mirage Host upon an actual loss of 24K and a theo of 48K.
The reimbursement was expected , but unrequested.

You must gamble a boatload of money in the slots or at the tables for airfare to be reimbursed. I know of a local gambler (where I live) who frequented the Palms many many times, but has since moved on to Cosmopolitan. He has a nice income and owns many acres of land but....has lost most of his worth at Baccarat and Craps. He still can go to Vegas anytime he wants, everything comped including airfare---but as I understand it, he is at the end of his financial rope with the local banks, and possibly his credit line in Vegas.

Not a good situation to be in. So, if you want your airfare hard-comped, you better be prepared to win, or lose big.
