I like it the way it is and don't want them to change it but from a $$ standpoint, it is an awful lot of expensive real estate doing little other than looking aesthetically pleasing. I guess we shall see.

Finally! They are finally spending some money at Bally's. I guess it was necessary to tie the Linq together.

I think it is a great idea.

what is really bizarre is that dinosaur skeleton thing they have there now.

I like it. It seems a good use of what is now wasted space.

Is this where the always broken, moving (always stationary) walkway is? One side or the other is always down

It is a waste of space, but don't like the renditions I have seen so far

I'm not fond the tops of the shops but perhaps it might look different? Also, it reminds me of the shops between IP and Harrahs...just A LOT more of them. Not sure how far back people will venture and then enter the casino

Yep right in front where the people dressed in costumes hang out. I just think it will be hard to navigate through from Bally's to Paris...people may cross over instead of walking through

Holy Crap! Looks like a lot of shops they are going to cram in there.

Wonder where all the Whores, bums, and drug dealers that hang out there on the concrete wall are going to go ?

Am I the only one that likes strolling thru the garden area during the day? It's beautiful through there. I'm amazed that with the shop area available going in thru Linq that they would add that many there. But basically an outdoor mall.

Hey, isn't this where the breakdancers w/ the wired stereo setup are? Where will I get my on-street dancing entertainment? :vomit:

(Oh, wait, it's me that's pushed onto the street; they're still dancing on the sidewalk.)

It is wasted space, so I can see why they would do that, but it is one of the best people watching corners on the strip.

that long walkway, sometimes moving sidewalk is really under utilized. Hard to tell how much of this is outdoors vs inside.

If they make the main walkway decent and the final entrance into the casino less "weird", this could increase foot traffic into Ballys.

I love the Retro look and feel of Ballys, its one of my favorite places on the strip. I just think it needs cleaned up and taken care of a little better, the last thing the strip needs is more cheesy retail.

I hope they dont move all the silly shops from Carnival Court south!

I'm sure Caesars will find a way to make this upgrade as trashy as possible.

    I'm torn on this.

On the one hand, I think it will give some good use to that space.

On the other hand, the current facade is one of the iconic looks in Vegas and we are seeing too many of those going away.

In the end, money talks. And with the Linq coming, this Grand Bazaar will put yet more money into the CET coffers.

Bottom line for me: I will continue to use the Flamingo side entrance to Ballys if I am on foot. That long people mover ride on the strip side gets on my nerves.
