It had been brutal. A/C runs constantly!! Not looking forward to the elec bill. Funny though, it was 98 yesterday and I am starting to get used to it, didnt feel that bad. Its all about the humidity though, I def notice when it is up. It has my chronic bronchitis flared this morning.

I had a hunch that we were in trouble in March when Milwaukee got to 85 degrees.

Well here in Scotland its like monsoon season! Rain, rain and more rain! To quote Johnny Cash "I haven't seen the sunshine since, I don't know when!" It seems we humans are never happy no matter the weather! Roll on December when we might get to see some sunshine when we arrive in Vegas :nworthy:

We usually wear shorts to work on Fridays - been wearing shorts now everyday to work for 2 weeks and counting.

It certainly helps when you go out to get lunch.

Vegas has been brutal as well... Lots of 112's and 113's lately. That's normally reserved for Phoenix.

I am jealous. Here in the NW we havent even seen summer yet. A couple of teaser days, but nothing great. 10 day forcast is, rain, partial clearing, partially sunny, rain. I have talked to a lot of tourists from the midwest, east, and south that are loving it here though.

The hell you say! I watched both seasons of The Killing... 26 episodes covering 26 days. It poured for 25 of the 26 days. There was no "partial clearing" or sun. :wave2:

Haha. It actually doesnt rain that much in Seattle, and rarely "pours". It is usually just a constant gray drizzle from Nov thru April. We have not really had a "summer" in 2 years though. At least not a very good one.

What I usually do is wet a t-shirt with cold water and just wear it around the house. Feels good when the fan and ac hits it but it evaporates fast.

Me too. The heat wouldn't be so bad, but we have had really high dew points too, so it is just miserable.

This has been perfect tomato growing weather here in CA high desert. Its my first great year in over 10 years. Its always too cold or too hot to set fruit. This year it is just right even for the picky heirloom tomatoes.

Between the heat and no rain, our crops are looking absolutely terrible around our area. Definitely not a good year for farmers.

It's amazing how good a half inch of rain can make you feel this year. Heat broke for 2 days:thumbsup: but now 90s for the weekend and 103 predicted for Monday.

Half inch of rain was really nothing, still have 1/2" cracks in the soil, but it was nice to see it rain. Corn fields looking sad.
