Headed to Vegas late august for 4 nights @ Ballys on somewhat of a budget. Would like to hit some of the nicer resturants on the strip. I would like to do so for lunch so as to save some $ for gambling. Looking to spend no more than $50 for 2 ppl for lunch. What are my best options? Thx in advance!

Estiatorio Milos $20.12 lunch special is the hands down winner imo.

Maggiano's at the Fashion Show Mall across from Wynn/Encore is a chain Italian restaurant, but it has a great atmosphere and the main dining room has huge windows overlooking the strip. The food is very good and reasonably priced (with good sized portions). If you sign up for their e-newsletter on www.maggianos.com they will email you a $10 off coupon. Make sure you select the Vegas location and do not sign up until a couple of weeks before your trip because the discount coupon will have an expiration date and if you sign up too soon you won't be able to use it.

You can also go on Restaurant.com and buy dining certificates that might let you try some of the more upscale restaurants with a discount.

Most of the nice restaurants aren't open for lunch, but if they were they would cost a lot more than 50. One place I have heard is cheaper for lunch is the top of the world.

    I second

Milos! Such a great deal for a top end (truly) restaurant.

Another vote for Milos. Excellent and a tremendous savings to dine with the lunch special vs. dinner.

Top of the World is really overrated. Walk across the bridge to Caesars and hit the Mesa Grill for lunch.

OP, since you have been to las vegas 3 times, i guess you probably already know that top of the world at The STRAT is not just across some bridge to caesars. will guess that tyler probably is confusing totw with the Eiffel Tower restaurant at paris.

businessmans lunch at the palm in the forum shops would just barely fit the budget, before tax, and definitely before any drinks.

Morel's @ Palazzo - they have outdoor seating, too - but may run you more than $50/pp depending what you order.

Julian Serrano @ Aria is a great lunch spot but very easy to run over $50/pp though.

Julian Serrano is good. I would add to the list:

    Red 8 at Wynn,
    Country Club at Wynn,
    Wazuzu at Encore

My personal favorite is Wazuzu. I will be eating there in about 24 hrs exactly.

I think Tyler was referring to the hotel the OP is staying at. Caesars is just a walk across the street from Ballys. :)

A great off-strip spot with an "on-strip" feel is Panevino, over off Sunset (south of the airport). I indicate an "on strip" feel, because it has a wonderful view across the airport and up the strip. High-class ambiance that won't break the bank!

Most of the best options have been mentioned, and Milos is certainly the best value. Even there, drinking tap water, you will be at $50 with tax and tip.

Carnevino is open for lunch but would be over your budget.

Are you planning on drinking with your lunch? Be aware these places charge $15-25 or so for a glass of wine.

I would rank the high end lunches on the strip as follows:

    Milos (because of the price)
    Julian Serrano
    Carnevino
    Mesa Grill
    Country Club Grill

Tableau at Wynn tower suites has reopened, and was great for lunch but I have not been since the reopening. Also, Fleur at Mandalay Bay has not been mentioned and also has a happy hour which starts quite early, and makes a good option for a late lunch. It is not quite as good as the others mentioned.

I'd put a vote in for the Mesa Grill. Very good lunch.
I also enjoy Olive's at the Bellagio.

We thought the same thing, till we had weekend breakfast buffet, it was completely worth the price, best coffee in town by a wide margin and make sure you try the juice of the day. Yeah it costs more but then a Maserati costs more than a Yugo also
