As the title says I am looking for a good Chinese restaurant, I am staying at the Mirage and close by would be great, but I suppose anywhere on the strip would work.

Any suggestions for your favorites? As for the price, something reasonable, but not $100 per person...

    Thanks in advance

:eek:Sorry but I have not been yet. I just mentioned it since you were staying at the Mirage and thought it would be convenient. It has been on my list to try, but I never seem to down around the Mirage when it is open (@5:00pm I believe). I have read decent reviews and seen that it averages about $50-60 per person.

I always try to ask before trying places if possible, last time I was in Vegas I tried a Chinese restaurant in Mandalay Bay I think and it was TERRIBLE!!! And way over priced...So I figured I would do a bit more research this time :)

You might want to check Yelp. You can narrow down by cuisine and location and you'll get a good idea of the places worth considering. I usually check Yelp and then Google the name of a restaurant that looks good plus 'menu' (Beijing noodle Vegas menu, etc).

Red 8 at the Wynn has lunch specials for 18.88 on weekdays.
    Fresh ingredients and tasty food.

You said the strip, or I would also recommend Ping Pang Pong at The Gold Coast.

Do you remember the last time you saw the Red 8 special available? I only ask because I can't find anything recent about it on Google and the Wynn Site and Red 8 menu show nothing. I'd definitely be interested in checking it out in a few months.

No longer than a month ago.

We'll be back to Wynn in early August and again around September 12th, so I'll be sure to check.

the gold coast is just off the strip, take the shuttle at Bill's or drive west on flamingo or the 202 bus going west. Its like 2 stops. Both chinese rest. are considered good and I have enjoyed both. Good eating.

Victorian cafe at Bills. Not a huge menue but every dish I've had there has been quite good.

I have not eaten there but I've heard the new Dim Sum place at Rio is good.

I heard a story in the Palms once about authentic Chinese near the Strip. It had a name like Diamond or Emerald or something. I heard it was the best and that they only take cash.

^Only place I could find on Google Maps was Diamond China, but that's way up on Sahara west of I-15. The Google Reviews make it sound perfect - "No speak English" and pickled chicken feet. :vomit:

We ate at Fin on our last trip, and I felt it was very good. We got the Prix Fixe, which was an excelent value, but I would probably order off the regular menu next time as the Prix fixe is a bit limited. Very friendly and attentive staff, head chef came out and asked us how our meal was, which is always a good gesture in my book. Beautiful room, we'd go back in an instant...

If you are looking for authentic Chinese and don't mind the price, Wing Lei at Wynn, Blossom at Aria, and a few others. Just ask for the other menu, not the regular one.

I also agree with PF's at planet ho, real good value. I eat there numerous times on every trip.
