This is from Club Grazie at the Venetian/Palazzo. I'm a local and I have a gold Grazie card.

So I get this big postcard in the mail today, no big deal, I get like 3-4 casino postcards or pieces of mail a day.

On the front it says "Light up the sky this Fourth of July".

    On the back it says:

    Dear KingBBinLV,

Make this fourth of july an unforgettable celebration at the Venetian and Palazzo when you show off your red, white and blue spirit with a patriotic gift that really shines. Every day, win a beaded necklace adorned with illuminated American flags.

*Earn 500 points and receive a festive necklace
*Earn 1 necklace daily, maximum of five necklaces
*Earning period starts June 29 and ends July 4
*Pick up necklace at either Grazie desk

And while you're here, enjoy the very finest amenities at the worlds largest five diamond resort. Revel in our exhilarating gaming, take in a dazzling night of Broadway-caliber shows and sample our savory collection of award winning restaurants. Also happening all summer long is Carnevale, our italian inspired festival that features a host of events and entertainment. Join us for glorious Fourth of July celebration and stay a little longer for Carnevale!

    Sincerely,
    Tyler Bain
    Executive Director of Slot Marketing

Are you fking kidding me?? What a waste of a mailer! So if I earn 500 points they will bestow upon me a cheap necklace like the ones that they hand out by the handful at the Rio Carnival in the Sky!

I have to say, I've been in Vegas 11 years and that is the worst "offer" I have ever received. Can anyone beat that shit?

From time to time, during the marketing staff meetings, massive brain farts occur. They get all excited, put together mailers, and guestimate all the extra casino traffic they will get.

And then we get the mailer and just about puke over the lunacy.

    Crazy stuff sometimes.

We were at the M in april, usually the M is very liberal with comps. I stuck probably 200-300 into slots and didn't win a penny, but I also played in 3 poker tournaments and going on almost july haven't recieved any offers. I called and talked to a host and she looked at my play and said I didn't play enough. I can't believe I didn't at least garner a free buffet or one of their 25% off a room they give out like candy.

That is so funny. Are you going to take them up on it?

Lol, definitely not. It would'nt be that bad if you got a random amount of freeplay with it like they had with the small chocolate boxes a few months ago.

I think they're just trying to lose the last little piece of my business that they had by offering me this joke of an offer.

I generally never book a trip around an offer, but once booked, I look to see what offers I have and then add them on to my reservation. I actually took one up one time from CET that gave me a $200 or $300 credit to a high end store in the Forums, I think it was Gucci. Let me tell you there was ONE item wothwhile I could buy. A pair of cufflinks that promptly turned green once hubbie wore them a time or two. LOL. What a waste of time. I just got an invite to see Tony Bennet, now that would be kind of cool to say that I saw him. But maybe I would prefer a cheap necklace instead.

That is a joke of a mailer, but the max 5 is probably the funniest part..... LOL

Wow King, how could you resist an offer like that?:wink2:

As a local, the best offer we ever got was from MSS. For an entire month they were giving away very nice embroidered logo jackets, that were also waterproof (found that funny in Vegas) but anyway, I don't remember the number of daily points I had to put on the card, but you could get max of 2 jackets per day.

End of that month, we had collected 42 jackets in every size from S to XXL. Everyone in my family now owns one and I still have some I'm trying to give away.

Ship one up to Black River Falls - size medium would probably work - small if a mens. LOL!!! I can't believe you took them all back with you when you moved back to WI.

And I think the companies that sell promo items peddle these things for a couple bucks.

This is your problem. You have put yourself on one too many mailing lists and now gotten the "We're out of marketting ideas but maybe there's a 22 year old girl out there that REEALLLY wants these" mailer.

Would be funny if you took their offer and when you went to collect they said they were out.

"Sorry sir, but we are sold out. Actually, we never really got any, we didn't really think anyone was going to really want one"

Well, I don't know if I can top the beads but I did get an email from Hard Rock (sorry SmartONe), that read like this:

    Enjoy Rates From $49!

    Offer Includes:

    $10 Drink Credit Per Day

Offer valid for stay dates through September 30, 2012
    Book through July 1, 2012

Think I would rather have the beads, at least I could use those during Mardi Gras for some visual simulation! :D

Once the El Cortez sent me a mailer that contained coupons I could use on my next visit. One was for a small airline sized bottle of booze. Another was for a free ice cream bar. I wish I could have taken them up on those two offers.

and get a 30 dining once per month. Besides the worst part is it says no seafood night on the MSS one. :nono:

That V/P offer is copyright infringement. They are using the same picture as the "One free pearl necklace" offer Macker's mom mails out to drum up business during Rodeo.

I think that was all I got. I've never gotten a room offer from them, even a discount room. I've not actually gotten anything from them in years despite playing there pretty good.
