Interstate 11 is a possible designation for a locally-proposed Interstate Highway in the United States to run from Tonopah, Arizona, northwest to Las Vegas, Nevada, by way of Kingman, Arizona.[1] The designation is a local proposal that has not been accepted by AASHTO or FHWA, the agencies normally charged with interstate highway planning.

The CAN-DO Coalition (Connecting Arizona and Nevada - Delivering Opportunities) is a 501(c)(6) nonprofit corporation. This coalition has been formed to promote the bold vision of connecting two major southwestern metropolitan regions of Phoenix and Las Vegas with an interstate highway. Interstate-11 will provide a direct connection from Interstate-40 and Interstate-15. These two connections will provide accessibility to commerce centers and sea ports along the Pacific coast and complete an international trade route in the United States.

Parts of I-11 will probably be a toll road. We don't have any here in AZ that I know of.

BOULDER CITY, NV (FOX5) - Two major transportation projects affecting southern Nevada are slowly becoming closer to reality - Interstate 11 and a Boulder City bypass.

On Thursday, the Nevada Department of Transportation and Regional Transportation Commission held an open house in Boulder City to update residents on both projects.

For 21-year Boulder City resident Chuck Lennon, a bypass can't come fast enough with all the traffic he deals with.

"The weekends, it's just horrible," said Lennon. "With everybody either trying to get to Arizona or from Arizona, it's horrible."

The first three miles of the bypass will be funded by NDOT, but the next 12 miles, costing between $350 and $450 million, will have to come from an outside company in a public-private partnership.

You're probably right. PHX to LV travel times have already been improved by the dam bypass and the widening of 93 before and after Wikieup. I don't see this cutting much more time off, but just having more than one lane the whole way.

At least it includes upgrading the 74 along Lake Pleasant. That road is rough.
