Gaggles and Big Sack and no Questions...Semi Live??

Okay okay...I hear you guys grumping already about how bad I have become at Semi Live TR's. Be nice! I am "semi" providing you with a vicarious Vegas experience until you can get there you low life Vegas degenerates!

So with little build up and no fanfare I am starting this thread as I have a Thursday night departure with Big Sack for Vegas. After a nice little four night comp at the Bellagio with Beejay last month, I did not have the courage to call back the host and ask for four more as I am sure I don't qualify for four nights (or maybe I do and I should have called). Ask Beejay I guess...I didn't short play by any means and I was mostly .50 and $1 vp but I just aint sure I earned that comp.

Now the fine people of CET...that is another matter. They have taken it upon themselves to grant me four wonderful nights at Caesars where I will be expecting an Augustus or Octavius room. Having stayed in both I would go Augustus as that walk to Octo is too damn long when I am drunk and the view in August is better.

I would be remiss if I did not begin this tale with a quick little update of Big Sack's and my own recent travels. As we sit right now, Big Sack is returning from a weekend in San Fran where he took the kids to a couple Giants games being the great guy that he is.

I just returned from a nice little weekend getaway in Whitefish Montana where although I did get drunk Friday and Saturday...it was a nice calm before the storm which rolls in on Thursday.

Literally every bar in Montana has VLT's and I have one machine in one bar that I play as I seem to hit on it. It is the only 6/9 DDBP I can find in the state but it does have a screwed up pay table. The quads pay out fine but the Royal only pays 2000 coins. Quad aces w/kicker pays 3200 coins. Now you are saying that math is still a screw job but the max bet is $2 because the state max on a pay is $800.

So any guess as to what I hit? I have the pic in front of me but perhaps Beejay or Macker can post it on here as it is beyond my limited tech brain.

It was a hold of two black aces followed by 3AA. Bing Bing! It caused a little stir too as I had three guys come up and they were pretty excited for me. I looked around and saw most people were playing nickels. The infrequency of such a large hit was further reinforced when the bar only had one $100 bill and paid the rest of the $750 cash out on 20's. Still, not a bad problem to have.

So a $60 buy in turned into a $750 cash out, and I only gave back 60 the next night for a net vp gain of $630. Not sure how many of you have been to Whitefish but two people could not eat and drink $630 away over a weekend without alcohol poisoning. Drinks are $2.50-3 each. Even my drunken gf can't polish off that much!

So a good start to this weekend in Vegas. The other kind of cool thing we saw on the way home just over the Alberta border was four baby foxes. I slowed down on the highway cuz I thought I saw a couple little dogs on the road but then four of the cute little guys popped up their heads from the grass and just stared at us for a couple minutes before they began wrestling with each other and digging holes. Very cool. Only second time in my life I have seen a baby Fox. The last time was in Montana on the way to a winning Vegas trip. Hopefully the omen will be consistent.

So let's get er going. Big Sack is comped one night Caesars and three nights Flamingo so let the games commence and I will commit to a minimum of three updates from the Diamond Lounges and atleast one or two from my phone when I am polluted. Those drunken misspelled texts are always fun to read the day after!

I'll be in Vegas the same time as Gaggles and Big Sack! My plan is to randomly yell "HOOKERS AND BLOW" at all passers-by until I get a positive response.

 

I want to be able to walk into a bar and tell people "I'm with big sack".

I tell you what...if you stroll by the Caesars Sea Horse bar Thursday around 10 (where we shall likely be having a warm up cocktail) or Sullys/Bally's poker room and yell "hookers and blow" anytime after that you have a very very strong chance of getting a reaction. If flights are on time (Allegiant Air, so unlikely) those shall be our two locations. In fact Bally's poker room is a good bet every night this weekend from 8-12ish. We usually play a little 1/2 NL until we are drunk and begin to think a 2-3 suited is worth a $25 raise!

Beyond that we could be anywhere but among guaranteed stops this trip: Voodoo Lounge at Rio, Cosmo bar tops, Bellagio Baccarat Bar where I really enjoy the .25 triple play machines, NYNY at the center party bar top place.

 

That is a nice warm up hit before Vegas. I look forward to any updates you post, especially the drunk ones!:evillaugh

 

To be honest, I'm not wild about all the semi-live reports anyway.

They tend to much more fragmented, point form thoughts and updates. I may be the only one, but I like the trips that get put into a coherent story after the fact.

 

I love both types of report.

 

I actually think due to the amount of alcohol I consume on any given trip that there is more coherence to my updated reports. If I try to do a report with some semblance of order when I get back a few days later I truly forget the sequence of events or sometimes a funny story or two.

 

Gaggles, I am looking forward to your upcoming adventure. Please post as often as you can, fragments or long version. I'll take either. It will help me get through the last few weeks before our trip. Have a safe and profitable trip.

You're right about that, I live in MT and have been to hundreds of bars. I can't think of a single one that doesn't have a gambling machine.

Those $3 dollar drinks are pretty awesome arnt they?? I can go out on a sat night and get shitfaced for $50 bucks.

 

Well Mr. Gaggles you rotten SOB, while I am stuck at Yankee stadium on Friday with a work outing, you will be enjoying the good life. I'll probably get beaned by a homer checking my phone when you text me your f'ing royal.

And then Saturday when I get home and my wife leaves me with 3 kids and heads for the mall, I will again be checking for your live updates to help retain my sanity.

I will say that some very small, lottery-esque chance exists of myself, Alexanbo, and Jersey Bill getting so drunk we fly to Vegas. I guess we are supposed to meet up at some bars near central park after the Yankees game. Once the alcohol starts flowing we will inevitably end up in Atlantic City, and if that goes well----VEGAS!!!!

For the record it's a much shorter haul from midtown to that new casino out by JFK, and then the casino is right near JFK, first flight out at 7:20 am

 

I don't think Alexanbo and Beejay have the guts to meet us in Vegas. In fact I say those of us at VMB throw down a double dog dare. Anyone with me?

We are 6 hours till Great Falls departure and I have 3 hours of work left before I get in one last workout (in vain I know in lieu of what I am about to do to my body) and finish packing. And cute little Big Sack (does cute and Big Sack belong in the same sentence? I am suddenly uncomfortable...... Anyways..Big Sack aka Fatso has been packed for two days.

So anyways Beejay and Alexanbo...the MEN will be arriving at Caesars Palace around 9.

Perhaps our fellow brothers and sisters of VMB can provide some reasons to Beejay's wife or Alexanbo's....ummm who the hell do you live with anyways??? I think you have fewer excuses than Beejay. I digressed a little. Can we not collectively come up with a great lie for Beejay's wife to get him to Vegas for a couple nights? Let me start:

Reason #1 why Beejay should go to Vegas this weekend

Beejay..you tell your wife that you are looking to move to Canada to save money on the high costs of pending health care due to Obama Care going through. This requires a mission to a state with low taxes vs Illinois to do an assessment. That's frikkin gold!

 

Its Platinum! Got 2 kids with bdays this week, god would strike me down! (don't mistake that for a no)

Beejay, you could always come out the weekend of July 12th through the 15th with the VegasRex crowd. Cabana's at the Bellagio, strip clubs, party favors, its on!

Yeah, I think end of October then again early December. I am heading to Chicago for a week on Saturday. Going to the Cubs/Astro's game on Sunday afternoon. In 2 weeks its Vegas! Woohoo!
