I've been to Ditch Fridays a few years ago, but I'm interested in the Dayclub scene this year. Really in to EDM (electronic dance music), but I do try to do it on a budget.

I'll be out there with 4 guys, and we're not really trying to spend money on bottle service/beds/cabanas etc.

I don't mind paying 40-50 for entry to see a highly touted EDM artist, but are there any days that it isn't AS crazy and expensive at any of these Dayclubs, that we could get in for a Jackson or less. I plan on having a few drinks before we leave for the place.

I don't want to be one of these guys asking for the best/cheapest lol, so I'd like the best on a budget for my money, if that makes sense.

    dayclubs are a new scene

I went to the GBDC at Palms last January.

Here is my little write up on it

    Ghost Bar Day Club

Since most young people are there to drink and be seen, they are using this to appeal to them.

Not sure how long it will last though. I can see casinos doing this during the winter, but pool parties are way more fun than a day club.

This is the one and only Day Club I will ever attend.

Thanks BIV. I've never heard of a Dayclub that didn't involve a pool... Interesting lol.

I mean't a dayclub including pool. I'll be in the pool haha

I'd like to add some ?s to this

Is there a dress attire to get in, if you are going to be there to hang out pool? meaning, can you get in in swim shorts/tshirt and sandles with a bag(for towel belongings ect)

Can you rent lockers, say to throw u $$/phone in if you wanna jump in the pool?

If I went with 2-4 buddies, would a cabana be recomended to rent? With a bottle service? Or just a couple chairs? Whats the best route to take?

I am thinking we would hit Encore or Tao beach, since its close to where we will be staying(Mirage for some and Wynn for some)

    No dress code, ROOM KEY

You will need to be a guest at most resorts to use the pool. If not, you must rent a cabana or something to get in.

Some daypools do offer $$$ entry, Palms Ditch Friday is when people, not hotel guests, can use the pool.

If you want a chair, get there when it opens. Otherwise, you won't score one.

I recommend that you actually rent a cabana. Much funner.

If its a pool party they expect you to show in pool shorts and flip flops. I don't know of any pool party that have lockers, just use a zip lock bag for your phone and keep it in a small bag. Lots of fun dayclubs in Vegas. Tao Beach, Wet Republic, Encore Beach CLub, Marquee Dayclub, Liquid @ Aria...

We will be hitting up Marquee Dayclub in 3 weeks and we can't wait!

All that includes is the cabana itself, which probably has a flatscreen TV, misters, etc. You have to purchase $2500 in food/booze.

Encore Beach Club and Marquee are the most expensive of any dayclubs right nown.

An earlier poster mentioned GBDC at the Palms.....that is closed for the summer.

To the OP, I would suggest going to Wet Republic on a Friday or a Sunday, getting there early, and you should get in no problem. May be best to split into pairs so it doesn't look like a group of 4 guys. The party won't be raging as hard as it would be on a Saturday, but it will still be exactly what you are looking for.

Often you can negotiate the minimums down. Sites like jackcolton.com have a list of hosts for each venue and so it doesn't hurt to shop around.

Otherwise, yes, day clubs are the new "thing". I'll probably give one a try but my impression is it's just a breeding ground for STDs. Cabana's are big though, and good for 8-10 people or something like that, so that helps reduce the total cost.

No, it's $2.5k that needs to be spent in food and booze.

So for example, if you spend $2k in food and drink, your bill comes to $2.5k + tax and tips, so you might as well spend $2.5k and not a penny less. You obviously pay for anything over $2.5k.

I apologize if I didn't clarify well enough. MangoPort described it correctly. You get the cabana for "free" but you have to pay for $2,500 in food and booze.
