I remember landing in Vegas on my 3rd trip 7 years ago with a friend who is a pretty wild partier and gambler, and whn we walked into the Luxor(our hotel) he said "I already feel like I dont have enough time"

I leave in 2 weeks for a trip, and have that feeling now! I am going for July 4th-UFC 148, staying at The Mirage. Same trip I usually do, 4 nights, except this time, I am landing in vegas about 2 hours later than usual(12pm), and am flying out early on the 5th day, compared to usually flying out late at night giving me almost a full 5th day.

My main purpose is to go to the Silva/Sonnen rematch on that Saturday, which I will do, so thats the only gurantee.

other things I want to do
*possibly hit the UFC fan expo on friday
*go see a new show, or see LOVE again. Can't decide what other show I would want. Maybe Penn/teller or a comedy show, possibly even Joe Rogan if he plays before UFC like he usually does
    *Hit the pool at Mirage
*hit up a dayclub. was thinking Encore's. Its closed thursday so my options would be friday instead of fan expo or arrive later in day on wed after I check in
*Go back to pole position and race Go Karts, that is always fun
*play in one/some poker tourneys at Aria or Venetian. Usually they are 12-1pm starts or 7pm starts daily.
*hit a strip club. This is my 12th trip to Vegas, and believe it or not, have not been to one yet

Of course, mix in blackjack, craps and video poker with all of that! this trip will be a little different for me, I am on a semi strict diet these days, and do not drink nearly as much as I used to. So drinking from takeoff- takeoff, and pounding down buffets and fat burger won't be taking place nearly as much as it used to. I'll still have a cocktail here n there, and will def hit hash house a go-go for breakfast 1-2xs! Im gonna actually be seeking out some healthier options, will have to adjust to that, gonna try to find good casual sushi places and good deli's. Anything not too greasy.

I am excited to get out there!

Since you plan to hit up Hash House A Go Go, you can find certificates on Restaurant.com if you want to save some cash - they have certificates for several locations including the one at the IP and the M Resort where you can get $25 worth of food for $10 (but read the fine print before buying - it is good for dinner only)

I will also be there that weekend. I will be there on the 5th to the 9th. Im staying at Golden Nugget on the first night and Flamingo the rest of the nights We got a sweet deal on the flamingo room. 3 nights for a total of 37.00.... I guess having a players card does pay off.

I also plan to go to the UFC expo on friday. But I also heard on thursday UFC will be having something downtown as well. I think we are gonna watch the fight at one of the stations casinos. I heard they do watch partys with a $10 entry fee.

I never been to the go kart track, that would be something good to do with my brothers while we are there.

    Thanks for the tip.

I only have eaten there for breakfast, which is kick ass! I'll look at the fine print. Plus I usually do breakfast solo, cause I am up earlier than my friends(and you get in quicker solo)..so unless I hit up the bloodies, $25 would be alot of food

i'll have to look and see what they are doing downtown, thanks for the heads up. Also, the karts are cool. Its right near the Palms. 2 races is around $50 from what I remember. I went a few trips back in 08, with my friends wedding party. They fly around that track. You can get coupons in the monorail pamplets and I think in cabs fliers

I wont be able to catch penn&teller this time. it wont jive with my schedule(UFC) this trip, the only night they playing is fight night.

I don't know if there will be a show fit into this trip or not. I would kinda prefer to do magic or comedy since I've been to CDS and Blue man multiple times

We went to see Mac King in June and thought he was quite good. Low key and no glitz, of course, but he was funny and his magic tricks were good.
He performs in the afternoon, so it leaves nights available for other things.

The first few trip we always had a huge "To Do" list.
It was great leaving with most everything left on the list. It meant we had to definitely go back to try and complete the list.

Nowadays the list is much smaller since all I want to do it gamble and drink.
