We are MGM people but currently staying on CET property (PH) for the first time. (I figured I would clarify in case you haven't seen my numerous other posts about it.)

It will be a 3 night stay instead of our usual 4 which means we have a lot of gambling to cram in. Usually we pass through the CET property and don't give it much play but this time they will be getting the focus.

Although most of our pay has been at PH, overall it is still very minor amount. We find that PH is actually rather smaller and don't always have as many of the newer machines as other casinos.

Paris also seems a bit on the small side too and also lacking in the newer machines.

We will definitely be playing at Caesars as that place seems huge and would expect to find some good old and new machines there.

Which CET property do you prefer for the Slots?
Which would you prefer for the Craps?
Which has the most variety in table games ($5 table)?

I do think that the slots at Caesar's are the best of the CET's properties (Harrah's is the worst!). They have the new Grease slots, as well I think many of the other slots have a higher payback.

I prefer ip for table games and slots due to very fast drink service and only play those when I want to drink for poker I like ph and ballys due to the terrible players that frequent both poker rooms. For drinks outside of ip I find all the cet properties to be hit or miss

I really like playing tables at Bally's (craps and roulette) and Margaritaville (craps and blackjack). I'm not much of a slot player. Margaritaville offers more eye candy, better drink service and better blackjack rules than Bally's. The craps crews at both are experienced. Bally's gives several choices of roulette tables, so you can generally find a quick, personable dealer at one of the four there.

That sounds like good justification to stop by.

This is from my experience from last week with table games namely baccarat at Harrah's and Caesar's.

Played at Harrah's for about an hour and a half at a $10 bac table. The first two dealers were okay. Third dealer made mistakes twice. First on the dealing of the cards and then on the payout. That was within the first 12 hands of the shoe. That was the sign for me to color out my $30 win and get the hell out of dodge. Good thing I like is that they still use the 14 card cut and they give unlimited free hands.

As for Caesar's I would never step into their table games again. Horrible conditions and no flexibility what so ever. Dealer was okay and friendly. Not really her fault since she was just following the rules. Encore did the same thing around late last year when they got some new guy running the joint and that didn't last long and revert back to liberal conditions.

So from my choices I would take Harrah's.

I've played craps at PH, Paris, Ballys and Bills. I like Ballys best. I wanted to play at Flamingo but it was too crowded but I like the feel of the place. I enjoyed PH too (been a few years though) and Paris was ok.

I guess Bills may not fully be a CET property yet but it's great for cheaper dice tables.

give margaritaville a try. was very impressed last week, cocktail service is phenomenal in all ways!

not a very big place, but so different from all other harrahs properties. maybe a little heavy on the buffett music, but if that is your thing, that is good, too.

I like the vibe in Planet Hollywood and after 8:00PM you can find the sexy Blackjack dealers at a 4-table pit with all 8-deck shoes, but no stupid rules. And Margaritaville was also a lot of fun, and again if you look carefully you can get 8-decks with no bad rules, usually at $10 minimums.

My biggest Jackpot this year was at Caesar's for $1,500. I just don't get a good vibe at Caesar's and for me I don't do well. You have to play where you feel lucky. Rio has given me the most overall wins and longest play for my buck.

For Craps, I would say PHo or Paris. They always have a decent number of tables open and the casinos are not as cramped as other CET craps pits

I prefer Bally's. I like their computerized terminals on the slots. You can order drinks, etc.
Anyway, I guess Kojak and Ed McMahon convinced me to go there, I did, and like it.

The wife and I seem to have the best luck at Planet Hollywood as well as Bally's.

I love Caesars, but have never had luck there on slots, I thought they were really tight.
Have had some luck at Harrahs and Flamingo though, and Rio. I think it is where you feel comfortable and the machines are all pretty tight on the strip, but we are there to play so they all would probably be about the same.
I am in my late forties, so the music was too loud for me at PH, and young peope stumbling into me with drinks the last time I was there, I left. But if you are youger or into the younger music and atmosphere, you may like it.
I think just finding the one you are most comfortable at is where to start, and hopefully you will get lucky and hit something!!

CET Properties are all the wife and I stay at. In the last 5 years or so we average about 3-4 trips a year. It has been my luck at Caesars and my wife's luck at Harrahs. The worst of all, sadly is PH. We will never stay there again. For us, there is no gambling vibe there at all. Plus, it's somewhat of a hike to get to CET properties that we like. :drunk:

Last year we stayed at Bally's and we came home with $800 more than we came with. We are going to try our luck in October again and staying at Bally's.

Take care and good luck will follow........
