Now that Ghirardellis in Harrah's Carnival Court has closed, can anyone suggest a new place? I just want simple ice cream sundays and malts. None of that crazy stuff. We have been going to Ghirardellis for years every time we visit Las Vegas. Have to have the ice cream fix this year. Thanks for any suggestions anyone can send my way.

Didn't get to try it but there is an ice cream place in Harrah's called Ice Pan. It's probably closer to Cold Stone based on what I have heard so far.

The gelato place at Bellagio is my favorite, but if you also want shakes and sundaes, perhaps the ice cream place in Casino Royale?

very close to harrahs is the baskin robbins in the corner of casino royale nearest harrahs. many people overlook it because it is so close to the dollar margaritas and michelobs.

    Ice Cream

The Sugar Factory at the Paris Hotel has designer ice creams.

NYNY HOTEL has Haagen-Dazs ice cream place.

ABC Store has Haagen-Dazs ice cream for a quick fix.lol.

McDonalds - don't knock it.... I love their hot fudge sundays.

Harrahs Buffet has all kinds of ice cream that is part of the buffet.

Johnny Rockets at Flamingo has great large Malts and Shakes.

I always need a quick fix for ice cream in Vegas! Lucy

    Pistachio Ice Cream Bar>

:blowkiss::cry:About 10 years ago I had a pistachio ice bar covered in dark chocolate in the Venetian from a stand where they have the gelato now. Anybody seen where to get one?

Do you mean the fro-yo/crepe place that's in the mall just outside the MBay casino entrance? I had crepes there for breakfast (before a trade show) one morning - crepe was good. Didn't try the yogurt but it looked like they had nice options. I'm afraid (charging by weight...) I'd go nuts and spend $30 on a sundae:eek:

    1) Lappert's upstairs at the Cal.

    2) If you have a car, Luv-It frozen custard on Oakey (kinda near the Stratosphere ) is really good; not a chain. No place to sit, though.

    lappert`s hands down!

good to see that so many others have discovered this fantastic ice cream place.

that is a big bonus when you have the awesome prime rib special at the california, you get a big dish of cherries jubilee with lappert`s ice cream for dessert!:nworthy:

Another vote for Lapperts in the Cal Downtown!

Only problem is it's quite a ways from your former favorite place, OP.

But if you happen to be downtown, don't miss this place. It's on the mezzanine before the bridge between the Cal and Main St. Station.:licklips:
